I had read a post a few days ago about children receiving a phone call from A disney character before they leave for the trip saying something like "hi <name> i hear your coming to see me....."

I was wondering if anyone knew the website of this service and if they could post it for me!

Thankkkks! pixiedust: :earboy2: :goofy: :tink:

AHH YOUR THE BEST! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I WANT TO HAVE MICKEY CALL MY LITTLE SISTER FOR HER TRIP ON 8/20!

THANKS AGAIN! :woohoo:

This is a great idea. Although she is not a kid, I'm thinking of doing this for my Mom's birthday. I'm taking her to WDW for the 1st time for her 74th birthday. And HER name is MICKEY. Having The Mouse call her on her cell phone ( I hope this works on cell phones) for her B-day will be a real thrill for her.

I did this for my daughter's fourth birthday. It was a Mickey Mouse party, and she received a birthday call from the big cheese himself. She still can't believe he called her! Pretty reasonable (it was then at least!) for the big smile you'll see! Have fun on your vacation!

FYI------ If you can't afford it now, you can have a free wake up call every morning you are there by a character.... :sunny:
If you pick a time like 8:03 you are more likely to get the character you really want to. It is fun. They will call every day if you want. We use it for the DD's "alarm clock". They race to the phone to see who will get it first and it is lots of fun. Just a thought.... :confused3

The "how the call works" instructions indicate that you need a touch tone phone to activate the call within 40 seconds of answering. So I am counting on it working for cell phones, too. I was looking at having Mickey call DS on my cell phone while we were at the airport before boarding the plane. I figure a 6am call for a 7:05am flight should work out just nicely   And while every cent counts these days, for $2.49 I am willing to take a chance on it working with a cell!

18 days and we'll be there! :mickeyjum :mickeyjum

Since i finally found out the website yesterday i used it 3 times already!
I had cinderella call one of my sisters to wish her congratulations on a new puppy ( mind you shes 23 years old and got the call at work), but she loved it anyway, and also i had mickey call my 8 year old sister to say goodnight last night. it was a really great thing, and let me tell you, she went right to bed after that! i think her cheeks hurt her from smiling so much!

Now mickey will call her next week before she leaves to go see him!

for $2.49, you cant go wrong. It really made them happy! :tinker: :earboy2:

How did you get it to call about going to see Mickey? I checked all the possiblities and couldn't find that option. I did the Mulan call for my daughter's birthday and she loved it. If anyone knows how to get the Mickey call, let me know!

I had Mickey call my ds, and Pooh call my dd on the day we left for our trip. I scheduled the call while we were driving to the airport on a cell. It worked just fine. It seemed like the voice was a little low, it may have been from being in the car though. It was really cute.

These boards move so fast that I may have missed it at the time, but last year I tried putting in an odd wake-up time (like 7:02) and it would always give me an error message! Sure enough when I'd enter the even number (7:00) it would go through. :confused3

I did this because I remember everyone saying that Stitch was the most prevalent wake-up call at the time. Sure enough, 7:00 a.m. was always Stitch waking me up!

Any thoughts as to how to not get that error message?

(Sorry to threadjack - honest! :goodvibes )

Can you get Disney wakeup calls from offsite?

Oh my goodness...this is just too cool! We're going to have so much fun with this. Thanks so much for sharing this info.

I hope someone answers! I wanted to do the wake up call too and my princess: princess: couldn't care less about stitch!!! I was hoping to make the few minutes after the hour approach too!!!

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that the poster who told us all about the different voices was joking. Later in the thread that I read, someone else chided the first poster for teasing the newbies. Last year when we went it was Stitch no matter what time we requested. :confused3

Anyone else?

But back to the OP - this is awesome! I'm going to use it to let the kids know about our surprise trip in Sept when we wake them up to go! :thumbsup2

This is ADORABLE! I would love to do this! (for me of course :rolleyes1 )

I did this about three years ago for my son around his birthday. I completely forgot about this. Thanks for reminding me. I'll be sure to use for our upcoming trip.
