Mickey mouse making you stupid?

I discussed this with my neighbor's cat while playing canasta just the other day. He wasn't so convinced, but a juggling turtle in my back yard said it was definitely possible, and, well, who are you gonna believe? You know how cats are.

Hahaha!!!!!!!

Well Mickey must not make you to dumb since obviously I am more smarter then the fella who wrote this article. Some people

This has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever read! There is something definitely wrong with today's world...

I would like to read the article but I can't figure out how to click on the link. ;)

Seriously though if this was really a problem we wouldn't have many intelligent people in the developed world since pretty much everyone is exposed to these type of books/movies/tv shows when they are young. I don't know of any parents that regularly read National Geographic to their children as opposed to Dr. Suess.

Exactly. Besides, learning through fantasy is as old as the hills, that's how we got fairy tales after all :)

I wonder if Patricia Ganea or these other researchers actually have children?

"No son, no Dr. Seuss for you. It's the Origin of Species or nothing for you, mister!"

Okay... not a very intelligent comment... But Give Me a Break! We all grew with Wile Coyote falling off of a cliff! Never believing that you wouldn't get hurt doing this. So why now are we saying that our children cant differentiate between a talking Tigger and a real life tiger! ? Isn't childhood still about a little imagination? I watched all the "unreal" cartoons of my day, but it did not hinder me in being a successful adult. Part of childhood is getting to use your imagination!

Come to think of it-- I can recall more than once jumping off a jungle gym with a blanket for a parachute....super genius.

As already mentioned, the Daily Fail is a horrid publication and shouldn't be taken even remotely seriously. :lmao:
