Mickey Mouse at Breakfast restaurants

We are planning to go to Disney in March. My son is 2 and is a Mickey Freak! We planned on doing Chef Mickey but now worried about the construction. Thought of changing to O'hana breakfast. Is there any other restaurants with Mickey for breakfast or lunch?? Any recommendations??

Also, any comments on March...how are the crowds??

Just remember that the characters might not be there. We went to Ohanas for our last meal of our stay in 2006 and hoping then DS6 could say goodbye to Mickey but Mickey wasn't there. Goofy was there instead. It was still a good time. Luckily, I hadn't told DS what characters would be at the meal.

The only restaurant where I know Mickey is pretty much a guarantee is at Chef Mickey's. In fact I don't recall seeing him at any other restaurant in my past few trips.

A month back or so, when I called to make our ADRs, I mentioned to the CM that I was having a hard time finding a character dinner with Mickey that had availability. She suggested Garden Grill, but I really wanted Chef Mickey's.

I checked and it looks like lunch at GG will be discontinued come 10/8. However, they will still have dinner and the characters that could attend are Mickey, Pluto, Chip N Dale.

When we had breakfast at Tusker House in April, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, & Daisy were there.

I just got a Chef Mickey reservation for March! Figured I'd go ahead and book it anyways! Thanks for everyone's advice. Thanks also about O'hana's. I always thought Mickey was always there. Good to know!
