Mickey Manicures

Not sure if this is the place to post this, but is there anywhere one can get Disney characters/symbols painted on their nails?

One time at Wal-mart I found nail sticker of pooh and friends. I just did my nails with clear polish put on the sticker and topped with a couple more coats of clear polish.

no - but that would be DAMN cute!

would love to have mickey heads on my nails when down in disney!

i know my girlfriend (who goes for weekly mani's) has an incredible nail tech...she's always painting fun stuff on her nails - every Christmas she gets the grinch on her right ring finger - and it's amazing in detail.

My regular nail salon always has a seasonal display of themed nail art. Today was spring break and they offered Mickey, Minnie, palm tree's, a castle, flamingo, etc. At Christmas they have tree's, Santa's, wreaths, etc. Next. I am sure will be Bunnies. I have never had it done but have been tempted.

Check with the person who does your nails normally. Mine has always been great about drawing things free hand for special events. When I went to WDW for the first time last November her painted minnies on my index fingers. We actually used the little minnie pictures from this forum as a model. They were adorable. Some nail techs will use airbrushing to put picutes on nails as well. My guy thinks that's cheating though (lol).

BTW - having the minnies on my fingers was fun and I used them to distract some unhappy little princesses while waiting in line for rides.

The place where I reguarly get my nails done will paint mickey on my nails. They do Mickey, Minnie and Donald.

I'm sure you'll be able to find it at almost any nail shop. One of the readily available stenciles is a Mickey head, they can just airbrush that on. I've had it before.

Thanks everyone! I'll give my regular place a call and see what they can do. Has anyone ever had a manicure in or around WDW? My DD (6!!!!) is making the request and wants to have a mommy/daughter thing at the world.

it would be cute - however I've seen the prices for spa services on disney property...$35+ for a manicure I can get at home for $15?

I was going to ask this same question. My family thought I was nuts for even suggesting it

Now my problem is - how do I want my nails done to compliment the stencils? Do I want red with a black mickey? or a french (which goes with everything) - and maybe a black and red mickey.

Decisions, decisions, decisions...................

We have never actually done it, but the spa at GF does a Mother/Daughter manicure. You may want to check that out. When we reserved spa services there before, DH called the spa and they e-mailed him a catalog of services.

Kiddoc...that sounds really cool with the mohter/daughter manicure at the GF. I better find out the price. If it's as expensive as stinkerbelle says, then it might be best saved for another time when she is older and can appreciate it a little more.
