I'm planning a trip for my son's third birthday in October. He is obsessed with Mickey and Lion King. I know we will book a Lion King room at the AOA and breakfast at CM. What other suggestions do you have to make it all about Mickey and Lion King? Other than seeing Mickey in his theater, are there any other great experiences with him? What about AK - I've never taken my kids to AK, any great Lion King attractions there for little ones? Thanks!

The lion king live show at Epson (Festival of the Lion King) is a lot of fun. And farmer mickey at Garden Grill in Epson is neat. That is such a fun meal all together. It is in a revolving restaurant, with chip, dale, Pluto and mickey, and they spend tons of time with you. Tons. The restaurant revolves and you see the living with the land ride, all the greenery and scenework. It is great

Definitely do Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom. It's amazing and my kids love it even as they've gotten older.

There's a Lion King sequence in Mickey's Philharmagic in MK also. You can meet Rafiki over in AK-unles they've done away with him since Jiminy Cricket has come back, you'd have to check that out :scratchin. And if you're going to HS, have him meet Sorcerer Mickey over there :)

Animal Kingdom for sure!!! Tusker House breakfast--meet Mickey and friends in their safari outfits--followed by Festival of the Lion King. Then a ride on the safari to see the real animals. I would actually suggest Tusker House over Chef Mickey any day--food is better, restaurant is cleaner, interaction is great.

Mickey influence is everywhere! He is at a lot of the Character meals so do your research and choose the one you would like the best. For characters only, Garden Grill is my top pick....to combine food and the characters...tusker house. Get him mickey ears, eat a few mickey bars, spend lot of time in the MK. Be sure to catch the opening show at MK and the parades. Fantasmic at DS is great for Mickey lovers, but a bit intense for some kids. Mine liked it at preschool age.

Lion King a bit more elusive. The lion king show at AK is fantastic. I would even FP it to be sure you get the time you want without a long wait. Lion King items are going to be a lot more prevalent in AK.

Remember he will love all the other things too so don't worry too much about those focuses.

We did fast passes at Animal Kingdom to meet Mickey & Minnie, and at Hollywood we met Sorcerer Mickey (no fast pass- i'm not sure if FP was available), and we all loved the talking Mickey at the town hall that we did a fast pass for. We kinda split up our FP for some of the meet and greets. We caught an opening show and a parade to see Mickey as well. He's everywhere :) We also did the Disney Jr. live on stage show at Hollywood. We talked up the Mickey ice creams before the vacation to bribe him :)
