Hi all,
Tried to do a search but every post containing the word "Mickey" pops up.

Does anyone know if you can have Mickey ice cream bars at the wedding reception? If so---cost? And must you have the same amount of ice cream bars as there are guests or can it be "on consumption"? Not sure all 50 of our guests will want them.

Thanks!

We had them, and were able to do them on consumption. About 1/2 our guests had them. I want to say they were somewhere around $4/each but id have to look at our final bill again to see.

Big help! Thanks so much!

If you want them to be a plated dessert it's $9.50 each. There's someone on the cake thread who has pics of it. Adorable! But a little expensive for a big wedding was what we decided.

That is interesting---was not aware this was an option. But plated is not necessary--especially for that price. That would be about $475 for our guest size of 50. And I really don't think everyone would want them. But as an option on consumption would be terrific. If we choose this way does anyone know how it is presented at the reception?

They brought in a freezer case when they served the cake and went around asking if anyone wanted a Mickey bar. It was still in the wrapper. They handed them to anyone who asked for one. We had 59 guests. They cost a total of $175.13 on the final bill for 32 bars. That was for an event in 2012, not sure about the current pricing but it can't be that much more. But we had no need for plating or anything fancy.

This sounds perfect---thanks again :thumbsup2

I'm really glad you asked about this, Mia. We're planning on the Mickey premium bars too--but probably as part of the dessert party, not the reception. We have a breakfast reception. I can't imagine too many people are going to want them that early. :)
