Mickey Flamingo Garden Statue size? price?

Does anybody know how tall the flamingo is and how much? - they are selling them at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.

Doesn't anybody know the answer to this burning question??? Otherwise, I will have to wait until I get there in the middle of May.

I was there today. They did not have any, on display or available for sale. Two people told me they will be coming in early June, which, of course, is after F&GF is over.

They have been handing out business-size cards with a picture, showing a price of $24.95, and giving a SKU of 40014911007 and saying to contract WDW mail order at 407-363-6200 to reserve one.

Nobody is willing to state definitely, but they think that shipping charges will be waived as they were not available on site as promised.

thanks for the info on the flamingos - I called and ordered and they said they should ship in June!

Pluto (and all the others) came from disneystore.com in 2005 when they clearance them out - they had 2 versions the fake topiary plant like the ones in my picture or just the frames where you could grow your own

Just measured mine - 38" tall and 10" beak tip to tail.

also just an fyi as to why the flamingos aren't currently available in wdw now - when I talked to the CM she said they pulled them off the shelves as they weren't up to Disney's quality standards and they will be restocked in June with new ones

Yeah, it was supposedly a paint issue, but mine is perfect, so .

You can try the outlet stores.

I bought one new in box last week at the Disney owned outlet in Orlando. It was $9.99. If there are any paint issues I did not see any. It is currently stuck in my front garden.

I know the outlets ship as I have often had things mailed home--I am in IL.

I purchased 2 of them at the Premier Outlet tonite for $9.99 each and don't see any problems with mine - they will be a great addition to my Disney gardens at home! BTW, there were plenty on hand there!

You might want to be careful where you place your flamingo IF you get one from the Disney outlet stores. You should note the decal on the bottom of the box that warns the statue will fade in direct sunlight (that would be considered a quality problem and make it understandably not up to Disney's standards... for a garden statue). The ones being released in the park in June should have an improved paint job and be able to be displayed outside... in the sun.

I just bought one this weekend and can see why they were pulled from the shelves.
There is no paint issue on mine that I see.
However the legs are a different story.

One leg going into the body just spins. Evidently what the leg screws into is stripped out.
Each leg come in two pieces. On the other leg, the lower part that screws into the knee area is badly rusted.
The one leg at the top I will use liquid nails to get it to stay. Otherwise that leg will never stay on. Or I would "hope" that leg stays on as long as he is firmly in the ground and never moves.

So the one I bought would had been returned had I paid full price. For the outlet price, I can make do.
He is great though!

Same here...we brought one back for my mom from the store at Orlando's Premier Outlet mall, and it's as if the two threads are completely different sizes on just the one leg.

She was going to put some plumber's tape on it to get it to thread onto the body more snugly.

no one told you, these were only $10 at the Orlando Disney Outlet. Apparently they fade in sun, so disney dumped them. We bought 2, they look great!

Just to let you know, the 2 we have are perfect, havent really faded and the legs are fine

I'd like to add that if you go to the hardware store, you can find a spray that helps prevent fading from UV rays - I am in the testing stage of one that was outside without the preventive spray on it and so far so good on the one that was sprayed to prevent the fading aspect.
