Mickey Ears

We are taking our very first trip to Disney world in september. I want to get us all mickey ears while we are there. Ive heard they are everywhere but where is the best place to get them? Are they around the same price everywhere? How much do they cost approximately? Do they all have kids and adult sizes? Can you get your name put on them?

I was also wondering, do you/your kids wear them all day long at the park? I would assume they would get warm and might fall off their heads while on the rides. Do you just get them for photos? Wear them to restaurants?

If you dont wear them to the park do you buy them somewhere else and not even take them with you to the park? Or do you buy them at the park and put them in your bag?

What do you do with your bag while you are on the ride? Can you take a backpack on the rides with you normally?

OK, I like the hat store in Hollywood Studios, after you go in it's about halfway to the big hat on the right. They have a nice selection and do the embroidery (?). My kids wear theirs all the time, so it's nice to get their names on them. I use a small Vera Bradley backpack in the parks and can cram all of the ears in there during rides. They also do the embroidery on them in the gift shop attached to the Judges Tent in Toontown MK.

That is the one we used also. Like DisneyDoc5 said they have a big selection and do embroidery.

It does take a while for them to do them, so we went back later in the day to pick them up.

We wore ours to Epcot one day (well, all but DS2 because he was not having anything to do w/ his), and DH & I ended up taking them off about midday (in Feb) because they were getting on our nerves. DS1 wore his most of the day though.

If you wanted to order them ahead of time you can do that and get the personalization off the DisneyStore.Com. We were thinking of doing that so we could surprise the boys w/ them on the morning we leave.


Okay while on the subject of Mickey Ears...DO they have adult sized Female Pirate Mickey/Minnie ears? I know they have them for the little girls, but I dont remember any for the adults. We are doing a pirate themed day and I was thinking of getting everyone Pirate Ears this time.

You will see some people wearing them but not the majority. You definately can't pass on getting them though! They are iconic!!

I ordered our girls the WDW Minnie Mouse ears with their names on then for ~15 at the Disney Store. I ordered on a Sunday and we got them the next Friday. I wanted to be able to give them to them at the airport..(we are doing a suprise trip)
