Mickey Ears Beads

I am working on stretchy id bracelets for our upcoming Disney trip with 4 kids. Can anyone tell me where on-line to find "Mickey Ear" beads? I'd prefer non-faceted ones, plastic primary colors would be best.

I've checked out ebay, and found something close - but I would prefer beads with the holes drilled thru rather than those with charm loops.

Any help, links, etc. would be great!

Thanks Michelle -- I got your info on PM.

I'll bookmark and keep in mind.

I am looking for something that doesn't dangle -- just because what I am making is for tots, both boys and girls - and the boys especially, prefer non-dangling - if that makes sense.

I may just try to make some on my own - using black polymer clay. I've never done that -- not sure how to make a hole thru the middle that would stay while it cooks -- but, I'll see how far I get.

That's a cute idea will have to keep that in mind.
I found this on making beads Beads are most easily pierced before firing, although they can be drilled afterward. To pierce a bead, use a skewer or needle. Hold the bead between your fingers and poke a hole almost all the way through it, not allowing the needle to come out the other side. Then withdraw the needle and poke it through from the other side. (This avoids creating an unsightly lump of clay around the edges of the pierced hole.)

They should keep their shape and the whole while baking. I attempted to make some toppers for my knitting needles and poked a whole half way in. It stayed just fine but I would suggest going a tiny bit bigger than what you need to be safe

PirateMama is correct. pierce them before baking as drilling them afterwards may break them.

If you are making beads that you want to go the whole way through and not just a charm hole then, use a quilters needle. That should be the correct thickness for you! best of luck! Polymer clay is fun to work with!
