Quick backstory:

In 2015, I'm taking 9 Girl Scouts to WDW. We'd like to get the girls ears.

Well, there is a deal going on at Disneystore.com for park merch so we can get 30% off (knowing of course we won't get them on sale there!) but they don't personalize.

Then, today, they have friends/family extra 25% off (and still let's you add free ship over $75) so for 9 girls hats and 2 adult hats it's $80 shipped. Too good to pass up!

However, I know they will want them personalized. I've heard conflicting info about whether they'll let you personalize hats that were previously purchased. :-(

Does anyone have any experience with this? I just don't want to pass up this deal!

Oh, and we've decided against doing it ourselves/puffy paint, etc!

I am almost 100% certain that they will let you embroider them. I just don't know how much it costs. You could always call guest services to confirm.

I am sorry I do not know for sure but I always thought the answer was no. Do you have a local place that could do it for you? We have a place in the mall that embroiders and also some local ladies.

Yes! I brought ears back on a different trip to be embroidered. No problem. I did 2 at a store at Downtown Disney (don't remember which one off hand but it was at the Marketplace). I had another hat embroidered at Mouse Gear in Epcot. The cost is pretty reasonable, around $5. Enjoy your trip!

Is there a code for the 30% off Park Merchandise? I am seeing the F&F 25% code, but nothing about the other 30%. Did I miss it?

The disneystore.com personalizes hats I've ordered a lot of personalized stuff

Thanks! I guess all we can do is try! :cool1:

Fabulous price with the 30 percent, plus 25 percent plus free shipping! I was thinking the discounts wouldn't stack, but they sure do! I also would order and hope for the best as far as monograming once on property. It's a long time away and who knows what the policy will be by then?

I would keep them wrapped in the original packaging until you get there and ask. I bought one of my boys mouse ears one year and then decided the next day that I should have had his name put on them. I asked at a different store and they said no, because they'd already been worn.

I had a t-shirt embroidered at the store in MGM. The lady told me I just had to have the original tags on it so they knew it hadn't been worn.

We were just at WDW last week, so this should be current info. ;) I bought my daughter a pair of ears at a stand in the MK the first day we were there. 3 days later, we happened to stop in a shop in the MK that does the embroidery. (Can't remember the name, but it was close to the park entrance.) I explained that I'd bought the ears a couple of days prior, and asked if they could still be embroidered. No problem at all. The basic text was only $3 plus tax. It took maybe 5 minutes to do. There were different text options for $7 or $8. There was also a choice of color, but we went with yellow since the cast member said it showed up best on the black hat. Hopefully the link to the photo works.

That is adorable! Definitely having this done on our trip.
