Mickey cream cheese pretzels

I could be wrong, but I *think* the cream cheese pretzels are just the regular shape and the Mickey shape is only available for plain ones. At least as far as I've seen.

They used to sell them at the Pretzel cart over by the Hyperion area. It's close to the entrance to the Mad Tea party Area/across from where the marvel characters meet. I have not had them from there in a couple of years but that's where I used to get them!

They are delicious! I always get them at Refreshment Corner in DL but I took at quick look at the menus for DCA and it looks like they have them at Bayside Brews, Pacific Wharf Distribution Co. (beer truck thing at Pacific Wharf) and the pretzel cart by the Hyperion. And they are just regular pretzel shape, not Mickey.

They are stuffed with cream cheese and coated in cinnamon and sugar! Yum!

My daughter didn't get hers our first trip (couldn't locate them once she decided she wanted one). Three years later she got one in DCA (near the jellyfish, Goofy's airplane, silly swings, etc. --- obviously I'm not enough of a devotee to know actual names and acronyms, sorry). She hated it!!!!! The cream cheese was much sweeter than she anticipated. Years of expectation, disappointed.

But on a happy note: our beers were yummy!

I have to admit after years of getting a Mickey pretzel with cheese sauce for dipping, I was also disappointed with the cream cheese pretzels. They are very delicious - no doubt - but, when you want something more like a cheese sandwich or a bagel and cream cheese type thing, they are too sweet. They make a good sweet treat, but I am sticking with Mickey and the cheese sauce when I am looking for a light meal/heavy snack.

The first time I had one, the filling had dried up or leaked out, because it just wasn't there. It was several years before I found out there was something wrong with the one I tried. For a sweet pretzel I like the almond pretzels at Wetzel's better than cream cheese filling.

I was SO disappointed with the cream cheese pretzels! I was looking forward to trying one but was taken by surprise when I tried one and it was sweet! I wasn't looking for sweet at all. I was looking for salty. I always rip and dip my salted pretzels in cream cheese, but this was a very different flavor. More like a pastry.

I had one for the first time in October. I purchased mine from Refreshment Corner on Main Street. I think half of it would be the perfect amount. It definitely tasted closer to cream cheese frosting but with a regular cream cheese texture (if that makes sense). The top was definitely not coated in cinnamon and sugar on mine. It was some sort of crumb topping but had no flavor at all. I was thinking it could have been powdered graham cracker? But I'm not sure what the topping was...
