I am new to DISboards - and was a Disney Bride in November of 2002. Its so nice to know there are so many other Disney Brides out there! Anyway - I was wondering if any one else's family went overboard with the Mickey/Groom and Minnie/Bride merchandise when they had their weddings at Disney? I received two blankets, every wedding related pin that was at a pin cart, 4 different cake toppers (two of them were from Arribas Brothers) the bobble heads, the beanie babies, frames, candle, salt and pepper shakers, hats, and even a pen that was white, in the shape of minnie mouses head and had a veil. There was more, but, well - you all get the picture, Im sure. But did this happen to anyone else? It seemed pointless for us to have registered anywhere, because our family and our attendants all bought Disney stuff.

Just curious....

Hi and welcome to the DIS

Belated congrats on your Disney Wedding BTW.

I wish you could register for Disney Wedding stuff with Disney as I'm dreading getting duplicates of all the wedding items. I love them all to pieces but only want one of everything but I'm pretty sure we'll get more ;)

So can you tell us some more about your wedding I love to hear about past weddings at WDW :) ?

It's funny that you should mention the Disney Wedding Merchandise.......we actually had so many Mickey/Minnie wedding items that we bought a curio cabinet and put everything we got in there. There is so much stuff you can get from Disney dealing with weddings, I had no idea. One of my favorite items is a Mickey/Minnie wedding snowglobe :)

BTW: I actually had 2 of those Minnie pens with the veil :teeth:

My husband and I actually bought a cabinet as well. As far as our wedding, we had our ceremony at the Wedding Pavillion, our reception at the Grand FLoridian Convention Center, and our rehearsal dinner - we had the dessert party at Epcot - Italy Isola. My husband's favorite part of the entire thing was the planning session where we went and met the chef and tried all of the menu items we selected. How about anyone else?
