How critical is it to get a FP for this at MK? Otherwise hoping to catch them at the end of the day around 3 or 4. Thanks!

We love seeing them at AK and can usully get a FP mid day after our first 3 FPS are used :)

At MK and HS they are separate so that adds time. At EP the wait for them thends to be crazy without a FP.

Without knowing which M&M M&G you’re referring to, I would ballpark that an FP could save about 30 minutes of wait time on average. Mid-afternoon is still what I would consider peak wait times for a normal day.

I had no idea about them at MK!!! How fun!!!!! I would think a FP for that is a must :)

Waits have been very long at MK. Mickey and Minnie are meeting together and they're celebrating Mickey's birthday so it's been very popular. The park just opened a few minutes ago and the posted wait is 45 minutes.

I would strongly suggest a FP and from the looks of it it doesn't seem like this has been available as a 4th FP (although this could absolutely change based on a number of things).

They also meet together at AK and that can usually be obtained as a 4th FP, or going around park opening is usually not too long of a wait.

Ugh, the MK meet wasn’t available to book when we booked our FPs (I don’t think?), and when I checked again a few weeks later it had tons of availability, so I figured we’d same day FP it. Now I just checked 2 weeks out and there are FPs left but only late in the day...I don’t really want my third FP to be for 4 pm or later, so I guess we’ll be hoping refresh can come through.

My big kid, who isn’t super into characters, has been telling everyone how he’s going to meet Mickey in his birthday outfit, so we don’t want to miss it...I may end up grabbing that late FP after all and trying to modify it earlier.

MK: Mickey Minnie meet together in celebration outfits. Line is very long but I managed to get in with a 5 min wait during the parade. Otherwise fp is needed or wait till the end of the night
Epcot: One line for character spot. You meet Mickey and Minnie (classic attire)but not together., you also meet Goofy Wait is usually 30 mins, fp available
DHS: One line you meet Minnie (red carpet dress) and Mickey (Sorcerer Mickey) but not together. Line is usually 30 mins, no fp available
AK: Mickey and Minnie meet together in Safari outfits. Line usually around 30 mins. fp is available

Looked at the app just now, and 1 hour after park opening the posted wait is 25 minutes (the actual wait is possibly shorter than that, maybe 15-20). It does seem there's a morning rush for the MK Mickey meet. Same day FP's have not been available (but refresh might work, it's always worth checking).

My strategy in your case would be to either see what the wait is an hour after park opening (it seems to go down then and then creep back up), see what the wait is like around the FoF parade as pp did (if you're not set on seeing the parade, or even duck into Mickey right after the last float goes by- watch it from the Town Square Theater area to do this). In either case, grab the FP and try to modify it earlier as you get closer to the trip. If you end up being able to get in at 10 am with little wait, then you can always change out that FP for something else as well.

Later in the day might also work, keep an eye on the app for wait times.

Anyone tried RDing the MK meet since they started to meet together? I don't have anything planned for RD as I wanted to give us time to get up and out the door without being in a rush on our first day. However, if the girls wake up at the crack of dawn ready to go (not unlikely) we'll be at the park first thing without any immediate plans...

While I generally do not FP meet and greets, I will definitely be FP’ing Mickey and Minnie for our early September trip. Too many fluctuating wait times and don’t want to risk a long wait when generally we bypass those.

We have 3 MK days planned right now, so we can definitely skip the parade one of them and try that strategy.

Right now our third MK day we have some harder to get FPs but we will probably have ridden them all at least once by then, I was waiting to see if anyone wanted to re-ride or if we wanted to use that day more for experiences, characters, etc.

I’ll keep an eye on wait times in the Lines app over the next week and see what makes the most sense.

Sorry should have clarified....looking at MK. We aren't planning on seeing the parade. We have 3 FP and the last is splash MT at 2:20. I doubt any FP for mickey and minnie will.be available. This is for Thursday of this upcoming week. I guess our best bet and during the parade or RD?

Remember Main Street opens for everyone at 8am for a 9am park opening, some people go straight to the meet and greet and line up for that, so rope drop would be a good option if you are in line by 8:30am, after that it will be busy

We haven't used a FP for characters in a long time. When we have, we check the wait time on line, if bad - send one adult to the line while the other shops with the kids until the line gets to a doable time frame; if good - walk fastly to that location.
