We are planning to do the Disney Visa Meet-n-Greet to see Mickey and hoping Minnie will be at the character breakfast (Goofy's Kitchen). So basically we can skip seeing them at their houses right? I would skip TT all together but maybe we'll see Pluto and Goofy there!

From what I have read Goofy is a staple at the kitchen and Pluto appears to be too. I am curious if anyone has ever seen Mickey or Minnie there too?

Oh duh! Of course we'll see Goofy at the character dining, lol. So maybe we will skip TT all together. We didn't spend anytime there last year except for the houses.

Is there any rides there my 4 yr old DD will really love?

Yup we've seen Minnie both times we did Goofy's kitchen in the last two years. We had pictures done with her and Donald at the enterance of Goofy's Kitchen even. Have to post those later for ya.

We also got Goofy and Mickey at the Visa meet and greet. Honestly after all the great pictures I got out of those two, we skipped Toon Town (except my son wanted to do the small coaster over there, but we didn't do the houses).

Mickey does not appear at ANY of the character meals. Before the princesses took over Ariels he was at that one, but since they took over he doesnt go to any meals. You might be able to spot him on main street at various times of the day, but that is about the only place other then his house that you'll find him.

Minnie does go to many of the meals. I know she is typically at the Lilo breakfast and of course always at the Plaza for breakfast.

Do the Visa Meet & Greet. You will see Mickey and Goofy the first half hour, then Chip & Dale, then M & G again the last half hour. They wear nautical themed outfits. We have always found the meet and greet almost deserted and have the best photos. We still do the houses in TT (dd is 4), but we never wait to see the characters. You can easily explore the houses and leave before the waiting in line for Mickey. My kids love to explore TT. It's nice because there's no waiting in line to explore - just for the rides (neither of them are interested in the coaster or Roger Rabbit ride).

What is the Visa Meet and Greet? And how do you get into this?

It is for Disney Visa card members. They offer a free picture / meet and greet daily. Its held at Ariels in DCA. Its in the morning, before they open for lunch.

We had bought three character breakfast. We saw captain hook, peter pan, bell, goofy, max, baloo, minnie, fairy god mother, tigger, WTP, eeore, daisy, stitch, lilo, chip, dale and jasmine. We did go to toon town to see mickey. The character breakfast gives the chance for "alone" time with each charcter.

Oh yeah I forgot about the Roger Rabbit ride, we actually like that one too. That would be worth going in to TT for. See my son is almost 9, so sadly we're pretty much out of the years where he wants to see the houses. :(

I thought Minnies house was adorable! I wanted to move in! TT is a great place for little ones' imaginations to run wild, and for bigger one's imaginations o get a jump start. Didnt get into Mickeys house, too many people. We will this time though. I got THE BEST pictures of my kids at TT, too.

Is there any rides there my 4 yr old DD will really love?

Our 4-year old loved Goofy's Bounce House and liked the Chip 'n Dale Treehouse too - but not as much a Goofys. They only allow smaller children in there under 52" so it is fun for them to jump around and not have to worry about being squashed by some big kid. Everything is bouncy - the couch, the stove, the carpet and our son thought that was the coolest thing ever. The rides in Toon Town don't interest him at all.

Can I give you a tip as to what we did on our trip. We found a little trick to meet mickey....

Go to the DCA park and head to the Anamation studio and find out when the street show "Drawn to the magic" is playing. The show is right out infront of the Animation studio and the show includes 3 characters. Always mickey, a princess and one other character such as Woody or Hercules. After the show the 3 characters go into the animation studio for about 10 minutes so you can meet them and have your picture taken with them. The wait is half as long as it would be if you headed into Toon Town or saw Mickey on Main Street.

Although i've headed to toon town several times and I always saw Minnie, Goofy, and Donald. Both times I didnt see Minnie in her house, I saw Minnie stopped infront of that "Dog pound or jail" cage. :rotfl: that sound horrible, but thats where she was.

Thanks for the tip! I've read of this at DCA but never knew exactly where or what it was! We will be sure to do it, especially if a princess is involved!

When we there last week, both Mickey and Goofy were at the Visa meet & greet. I've heard that sometimes it is Chip & Dale. We went very shortly after it opened.
We did see Minnie at the Plaza Inn character breakfast and also at the Lilo & Stitch breakfast.
If your package includes entry to Mickey's Toontown Fair take advantage of it. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy. The characters sign autographs and take picture both before & after the show.
