Michigan Outlet malls?

Trying to decide between 2 outlet malls: Prime Outlet(Birch Run) or Tanger Outlet(Howell). Is there another one worth considering for bargains?

We are driving in from Ontario thru Sarnia for a flight out of DTW and would like to stay overnight the day before and do some pre-trip shopping.

Our flight leaves for LAX in the evening and we don't have to get to the airport until 4:30pm.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We always go to Birch Run. I've never been to the other one you mentioned. I just know I like to stay at the Holiday Inn Express or Country Inn and Suites (deals through the website for Prime Outlets). We shop there and then we go into Frankenmuth where the huge Christmas store is. We always eat dinner at Zehnders as well. Frankenmuth is about five minutes away from Birch Run.

We just returned from Frankenmuth and loved it...been there 3 times this past year since "discovering" this lovely little town!

We also shop at Birch Run and find tons of great bargains. Be sure and stop into Guest Services there and pick up lots of coupon deals!
