I'm very new at this, but DIS is such a friendly place I figured I would be able to keep my journal, and recieve tips if I needed them. I have tried to lose weight several times before and it never happened. I'm sure I was doing something wrong with what I was eating. I know I was exercising enough, but what I eat is my major problem. So hopefully with signing up for some challenges I can keep up my motivation and actually lose some weight this time. I will try to update daily but we will see what happens. :)

So far today I have eaten a bowl of cereal and a piece of wheat toast. I don't know if that is good or not.. ?? :confused3 But I guess it could have been worse. I just came back from a bike ride with my dad. We rode around 5 miles and I defintely am out of shape. It wasn't as hard as it was when we use to ride in June, but I have to make it an everyday occurance. I use to walk or ride my bike atleast 4-5 times a week in May & June, but I saw no change in my weight, so I kinda gave up. But I'm not going to let it happen this time.

I hope this is okay for a first post :) and I will update as much as I can.

This is a great place to experiment until you figure out what works for you. Great job getting that bike ride in this morning. Sounds like fun and a great workout!

Thanks everyone for the support!! :goodvibes I did pretty good today. I always & only drink water. It's become my favorite drink, espically Dasani. My only major slip up was having chips with my grinder. Other than that it was all healthy. I'm looking forward to my bike ride tomorrow morning, and feeling like I'm accomplishing something. I don't have work tomorrow, so I have to find something to do besides eating. Seems I do that a lot when I'm bored. Maybe I'll finish the scrapbook of my WDW trip. We will see how it goes.

Welcome - good job on getting on that bike and looking forward to riding. And drinking water is the best thing you can do - well one of them anyway :)
