LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Michelle Duggar - matriarch of the Duggar family from TLC's "18 Kids and Counting" - was hospitalized in Arkansas over the weekend, according to People.

The 42-year-old reality mom - who is pregnant with her 19th child - was reportedly rushed to the E.R. due to a gallbladder problem.

"This weekend, Michelle Duggar was admitted to an Arkansas hospital due to gallbladder issues," a rep for TLC told People. "The pain from a gallstone was generating some contractions. Just to be safe, she was airlifted a Little Rock, Ark., hospital, so that in the unlikely event that she had to be delivered early, she would be close to a NICU center."

Although Michelle remains hospitalized, the network spokesperson said both mom and baby are doing fine.

"Though there were some fears that the baby was in trouble initially, it soon was discovered to be solely the gallstone causing the discomfort. Michelle is resting comfortably, and the baby is doing fine," the rep added. "Doctors want to observe Michelle in the hospital for the next couple of days... but it would appear that the pain medication they have given her for the gallstone has worked, and there is no need for immediate surgery. The hope is that any necessary surgery can be delayed until after she delivers."

In September, Michelle and husband Jim Bob announced they were pregnant with their 19th child.

"We are so thrilled," Michelle told People at the time. "We just couldn't believe it is happening."

When the latest addition to the family does arrive, the Duggar's total tally isn't the only thing that will be changing - so will the name of their show.

Access Hollywood previously confirmed TLC will change the name of the series to "19 Kids and Counting," following the child's birth.

In October, Jim Bob and Michelle became grandparents for the first time when Joshua and Anna Duggar welcomed daughter Mackynzie Renee Duggar.

IMO, having 19 children is just wrong on so many levels. It is irresponsible, but for their sake, I am glad she and the baby appear to be physically okay.

I'm surprised her uterus hasn't gone on strike by now! Hope she is feeling better and the baby continues to be OK as well.

My prayers go out to them. I know how bad a gallbladder can hurt. It even worse for her being pregnant since they won't be able to remove it

Wait, she is pregnant again?? I thought she just had baby Jennifer.

I didn't realize she was pregnant agian. Glad she is okay.

Oh dear, that must have been frightening to have to be airlifted. I'm so relieved that she and the baby are okay and that it's "just" her gallbladder.

Praying for Michelle and her beloved family. :cloud9:

Hope they are Ok...I really like Michelle...even though they are a bit "different"..to each their own..:)...Ita amazing that they have 18 bright healthy children...hope they are not tempting fate now..

Jennifer? Oh, girl. Jennifer was #17. Jordyn came next, this time last year. Now they're waiting on #19, due in the spring.

Why do I know this? Whyyyyyy?:sad2:

You're at least two pregnancies behind. Baby Jordyn is the youngest and she's pregnant with #19 now.

Because, like many others, as much as you would like to not read, watch or listen to all that is out there about the Duggers, you just can't help yourself. There is that something that just sucks "you" in and you can't help but know.

It's like a train wreck. You know that out of respect you should not watch, but you can't help but watch the horrifying events that are unfolding before your eyes.

I had this same issue.
I was induced (early) due to the gallbladder attacks causing contractions and landing me in L&D, too.

My attacks started in January and no surgeon in this town would touch me until after I delivered. They said the risk is too great they'd cause pre-term labor and I would lose the baby.

I waited... through months of painful stinkin' attacks and trips to the ER for pain medication... and finally had it removed a few weeks after Lucas was born, in July.

I hope she recovers quickly and doesn't have many more attacks. That is not something I'd wish on anyone! :scared1:

It's a sad day when someone views receiving the blessing of another inherently priceless soul as a "horrifying event".
