I think it's supposed to be a project from the new Doll Party book.

We did the one last year (year before?) at Michaels that was doll tshirts and doll purses. There were kids younger than 8 there. I don't think they'd take really young kids, but I can't see them turning away a 6 year old.

Thanks, I am going to take her and see what happens. We went to Borders last week for the Cat in the Heat knows a lot about that celebration and it was for kids 3-6, but there was 1 and 2 year olds there and they sat through the story and craft.

We went and both my girls 7 and 9, made a pink cardboard birthday cake, and a party hat and they got a little "celebrate" banner so their American girl dolls can have a birthday party. It was really cute and my girls loved it. I love when I can find free things like this to do with them!

yes we went too, they let her do it, it was a nice young college girl who was the helper and then 5 little girl. It was cute, she liked it.

Next weekend Borders is having an Olivia book reading (The new Olivia Book, Olivia goes to Venice) so I am taking her to that. And then an Olivia type craft.

We weren't able to go today but am wondering if the things you made came from a kit that Michael's sells? I would love to do that with my daughter!
