Michael's/JoAnns coupons

Good morning!

Michael's has TWO 50% off coupons this week...one good for today and Monday in honor of Veteran's Day, and the other is good next Saturday I believe. Though I have successfully used a JoAnns coupon at Michael's before, can anyone confirm if you can use Michael's coupons at JoAnns? Even if they are for 50% off?

We just got back from Disney and I would like to make 8x8 scrapbooks for my two DD's . I picked up a Mickey one at Michael's with a coupon, but my youngest DD L O V E S Ariel. They have an Ariel scrapbook at Jo Anns (at least they did the last time I was there!) but it was like $24. A 50% off coupon would make that much nicer!

Yes, I have had success using the 50% off Michael's coupons at JoAnn's as long as it's not a sale item. Happy shopping!

Anyone know if you can still ask for the coupon discount at Michael's if you don't have the ad? Where I live, we don't get the ads in our Sunday paper, but I will be near a Michael's tomorrow and would only stop there if I can still ask for the coupon at checkout. Thanks!

I think it's a YMMV type thing. The ones near me won't give you the discount without you having a coupon in hand. Can't hurt to try though!

Not sure about using Michael's coupons at Joanns but I work at a Michaels and we will accept competitors coupons. We also will allow customers to sign for the discount if they do not have their coupon. It is supposed to be a one time exception but that is a joke. There is no way to track it.

Also, our store will not accept computer printed or copied printed coupons of any type. It has to be out of the newspaper or a mailer.

Since Michaels does not sell fabric, JoAnn will not honor a Michaels coupon for a fabric purchase. They will honor it for anything else that is not listed on the "exclusion" part of the coupon.

A side note... Did you know that you can return fabric, ribbon, foam... to JoAnn as long as it's the original size that was cut for you? My DD has worked there for several years now and I was surprised when she told me that they would take fabric back.
