Michael's BF sale - 60% off coupon, what to get?!?

Ok.. so Michael's has lots of coupons for black Friday and Saturday. It actually looks like the Saturday sale might be a better deal for most things... 25% off ontop of already on sale stuff-- so 25% additional off sizzix (because, of course they put them on sale) But there is also a 60% off coupon.. for Friday.

I just don't know what I want! What is everyone else getting? Also, is ACMoore having a sale?

Been to Michael's twice today (Friday) This morning at 6 I got just one sizzix die (gingerbread house) they were picky about coupons in the morning and I had 7!! I put my lowercase serif on hold and planned to come back at 10:00 to use the $$ off coupons. I was also going to get the xron 900 and stupid me did not put them on hold because there was so many!! Wrong move by the time I got back they were gone. So I got the sizzlets girls are weird and my lowere case dies and the converter plus a picture frame so I use the $5 $10 and $15 dollar off coupons!. I headed to VA and may stop in either another Michaels * or Ac Moore.

Ac Moore is having a few sales and a 50% coupon.


*** For those that do not live in the DC metro area the Michaels store in Fairfax VA had an attmpted assult. a Michaels cashier grabbed a customer and took her in the back room where he tried to assult her with a knife. She did get a way and he is now being held in a jail. This happened on Tuesday and let me say when I went to Michael on WEdnesday they wer falling all over me kindness!!!

I was at Michaels at 6 this morning. One of teh associates asked about coupons when we walked in and said she would initial them so that if we were still shopping at 8 they would honor it. I wondered how long she thought it would take me to find one non sale item and get it. hmmm oh well. I ended up with a couple of punches and some stamps then headed over to JoAnns. They had a 20% off total purchase and a 40% off one item. Ipurchased way to much there paper, ink, stamps, ribbon and other dodads. But witht he discounts I didn't spend too much. I hope to hit Michaels or ACMoore again today/tomorrow as someone else said the coupons are as good or better for then.

Juilanne where outside of DC are you? I live in Silver Spring.. we headed to Michael's on Rockville Pike--- it is right next to a circuit city and staples, so there was NO parking!! I got my paper initialed, took a quick walk through the store and decided to go back later.. there wasn't anything I *really* wanted.. some sizzix stuff would be nice, but I will see what they have left tomorrow when they do the extra 25% off of sale stuff. There was a large $100 frame I wanted for my pins, I had seen it at aspen hill a while back, but they didn't have it at Rockville.

We stopped at the AC Moore on Rockville Pike too-- I didn't buy a thing-- the place was empty, and I wasn't even sure they were having a sale. The only scrap stuff that looked interesting was all "Memory Paper" (the loose stuff) was 40% off.

I hadn't heard that about the Michael's in FFX... how bizarre- a clerk went after a customer? That just seems so random and strange.. and well, wouldn't other employees notice?

I am gonna try and go back to Michael's tonight.. that 60% off coupon is burning a hole in my pocket.

I went to Michael's walked around and decided I really didn't need anything! I can't believe I reached that point! So, I just bought a pad of sizzix paper and the Wilton class 1 decorating kit since I somedya want to take that class

I ended up getting the alpha stacks sheet letters (8.5x11 paper that has 3 fonts of letters on all different prints) I had never seen it before -- used 60% and saved $12
I used the 50% on a scrap idea book -- saved $8
I used the $5 turkey bucks and bought a christmas slab and few little other things

On saturday I went back, and bought a coluzzle (used 50% off)... I really don't need 1 more mat cutting thing, but it looked neat, anybody have one?

I also used the 25% off on some instant shadow box frames... they were already 30% off and then the 25% ontop of that! I bought a huge 2ftx3ft one for my pins. I was also hoping to pick up some sizzix, but they didn't have much left.

The store was packed, much busier than yesterday and the lines were very long. At noon, someone came around and stamped all the coupons of people in line with a smiley face.

I skipped Friday's coupons...DH wanted to do decorating & I wanted to be here before he lost interest. I did go on Saturday, though.

I got the Sizzix for DDIL because I had my heart set on it. I wasn't thrilled with the die cuts though. Which ones do you all use? I ended up with the medium hearts border & a small heart outline. (What I really want are the letters, but I just can't afford that right now.)

When I went over to AC Moore for a clock mechanism for DH, I checked their selection. They had a few different things, but I still wasn't terribly impressed. I got the converter & the heart embosser border template with the 25% coupons in my entertainment book.

We only got a 50% off coupon for Friday! Sooo, not fair. lol I used mine to get my Wilton class III kit. I wanted to go back on Saturday to use the 25% off, but didn't make it in time.

Wow it has taken me 4 days to be able to log in again with all the new change...

but I did get the last Xyron 900 in Mont. County and I lucked out and got the last parking spot at the Rockville Michael's. I used the 25% on Saturday. Oh how I hate Rockville!

The attempted assult happed last Tuesday at the Fairfax Mike' which is right off RT. 50 and Nutley. It use to be the best MJ Design. It was on the 11 O'clock news

I was out of town for the holiday, but luckily the city just got their first Michael's. I got the Sizzix Sizzlits Scripts letters, the Sizzix converter, some adhesive holiday ribbon, and some letters with my Turkey bucks. I ended up buying the Sizzix machine since MIL couldn't get it at her store with my other coupons. It's my xmas present.

DC area ladies - They are building a new ReCollections in the old Kids-R-Us in Sterling (same shopping center as the Michael's). Glad I don't goto the Ffx stores.
