For those of you that like the convenience of a frozen quick meal the new Michaelina’s Lean Gourmet meals are VERY tasty. I have had three in past three day’s for lunch and they have been very good and quite satisfying.

Oh, and for you WW folks, they have point equivalents listed right on the front.

Thanks Regina! I usually have Healthy Choice or Lean Cuisines or Smart Ones....whatever is on sale! :) So I will check these out! Thanks!!!

Thanks for the info Regina - I might have to check them out for a quick dinner if DH is out of town. On another note I just have to say the commercial for these drives me bonkers!! It's good to hear the meals are tastier than the ad!

Cheers!

They are VERY tasty! And don't worry about sale prices. I live in Buffalo, so prices generally don't reflect what it'd be in other parts of the country, but a Lean Cuisine runs about $3.50 or so. The Michelina's are just $1.79!!!

The only thing you have to watch with the frozen dinners, no matter which kind, is the salt level. They're really high, and too many can cause water retention and a gain at the scale.

Are they low carb? Or just low fat/low cal?

SnackyStacky...come into wegmans. This week Smart ones are 1.79 and the Lean Cuisine have been on sale forever. Usually 2/4.00 or 2/5.00. Michelinas are 1.79, just like everywhere else.

Not low carb, just low fat/cal.

Cincinnati area Kroger stores have them on sale for $1 this week! I bought several to stick in the freezer. I usually eat leftovers for lunch--I thought these might be better for me.

i've been holding my coupons and my breath for Michelina's light dinners! My Big Bear doesn't have them yet and I boycotted Krogers a year ago. I live in a smallish town, so i guess we're behind the times! I'll keep my eye out for them, how convenient to have our pts right there. I love that when I'm picking them out - that's why I've been buying smart ones. I really like them - not a big fan of Healthy choice :)

thanks for sharing your input ;)

Nancy,

You live in Buffalo too?!?! :)

Actually, I just went shopping this week. I'm really not too into the Smart Ones. My favorites are the Lean Cuisines and the Michelina's. Since the Michelina's are so cheap, I usually load up on those.

The Lean Cuisines were on sale, but they had been thoroughly picked over, so there really wasn't anything left.

Thanks for the tip though! My eye is ALWAYS out for sales on the frozen dinners!!!
