It would be cute!

The kids and I were out today and we came upon an "Angel Tree" where you are supposed to hang a remembrance ornament for someone you have lost this year. My DD hung a "Michael Joseph Jackson" ornament on the tree. (they had left out paper ornaments, and you were supposed to write the persons name on it.)

Is anyone doing anything to remember MJ this Christmas?
I had planned to donate to Heifer Intl. in his name but never got around to it.
Maybe I'll check into that tonight.....
I dont want the first Christmas without him in my world to go "un-marked" even if its in a small way. So the deal with Heifer is that if I donate money for a flock of chickens (which was pretty inexpensive compared to an actual heifer LOL!) the family that gets the chickens promises to pass it on by giving away the first babies to another family, and so on. I like to imagine that nobody would ever know, but there could be little chickens helping hungry families for YEARS off this one small donation in remembrance of Michael.

(Sorry. Didnt mean to sound like a PSA LOL!! )

Every year one of our local radio stations has a fund raiser over the radio to raise money for a local children's hospital(Children's Healthcare of Atlanta). It's funny because about a week or so ago I thought about it and wondered if and when they were going to do it so I could donate in MJ's honor. I am not kidding when I tell you I turned on the radio the very next day and they were holding the radio-thon. I called immediately and made a donation.

I rarely ever listen to the radio anymore because I have XM radio and I prefer that. I was afraid I was going to miss the radio-thon so I was so glad I caught it. :goodvibes I remember reading that when Michael was here in concert years ago he donated to the same hospital.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!
