Fans Startled as Pop Star Holds Infant Son Over Hotel Balcony
The Associated Press
Nov. 19 Eccentric pop star Michael Jackson caused a fracas today after apparently dangling his young son from the balcony of his Berlin hotel room.
Jackson had been waving to his German fans when he apparently brought the baby, with a towel covering its head, out onto the veranda.
Holding the baby with one arm he then briefly dangled the infant over the balcony railing of the Adlon Hotel, before hurrying back into his room with the child.
Fear gripped the crowd of around 200 fans as it appeared the struggling baby may have been about to fall to the ground.
Jackson is said to be in the country on a personal trip although it is thought he will attend the German premiere of the new James Bond film, Die Another Day.
Rumors are also abound that Jackson may pick up a Bambi lifetime achievement award on Thursday from the German Burda publishing house.
