James' Dad was a flavor chemist. He left Coke when they moved to Atlanta. I think he worked for Warner Lambert after that.

My dad started as a delivery truck driver. He worked him up to branch manager, then district manager, and then Sales Director for various regions. He could have been at the Corporate offices of Dr Pepper/7-up as an executive if he'd been willing to move to the Dallas area. At the time (only a few years away from retirement) they decided to stay where they were.

if you go to the Aint it Cool news website, and follow the link about MJ's death, they have posted "Captain EO" (in 2 parts from You Tube). Watching it now I see how dated it looks, but back then I thought it was cool.

OMG! We saw it at Mile High Stadium too! My dad worked for Pepsi at the time, and they sponsored the tour, and since his plant had been the best performing one in the region, we got free tickets. We were in the 11th row. It was awesome.

OH, we can bond over having been at the same concert Then again, maybe I hate you for having such better seats Mom and Iwere about half way back. My dad nearly always could get comp tickets if he wanted them (perk of being a DJ--or at least it used to be) so he did not jump to buy on day one and we couldn't get the best seats. It was still a great show (windy night though, eh?)

My Dad worked for Coke as well. And he just retired from Dr Pepper/7-up.

OKay, so I can liek your dad after all Dr. Pepper is even carried over here now Amazing, I can still remember when my Aunt moved to Jersey in the late 80s and couldn't get it on the East coast.
