Michael J. Fox and Family at WDW

We saw Jonathon Ross with his family at Animal Kingdom a couple of years ago and we saw Donny Osmond with his family at MGM just after Christmas this year. We didn't approach them, didn't think it approriate and I am a BIG Donny fan lol

Twinks :)

The CMs sitting with celebrities are probably the VIP tour guides.

Michael J. Fox and family were at Universal Studios today. No word yet on whether they rode the "Back to the Future" ride. That would have been surreal to see him on that ride.

How did you know it was her at the pool? Did she do a double back flip into the water, landing a perfect 10? :rotfl2:

(P. S. I really do like her -- I just couldn't resist!) :earboy2:

She is a spokeswoman for Children's Miracle Network(which I knew from seeing her on their telethons) and I kept seeing people around the resort with CMN badges on, so I asked one of them if Mary Lou Retton was there with there convention, and they said yes. That's how I knew.

Too cool! :cool1:

Back in 1983, we saw Dick Button and his family in line for 20,000 Leagues. I think that was the first time I ever saw a celebrity in person.

OK, now I get to sit and guess how many people read this and have no idea who I'm talking about. :rotfl:
I regret that I know who Dick Button is. pirate:
Our brushes with celebrity at WDW include George Tekei(sp.?)-Mr. Sulu and Manny Ramirez.
While in college, I was lucky enough to tend bar at Willie Stargell's wedding. I'm sure I met a lot of great baseball players that day, but without their uniforms, I didn't recognize anyone but Mr. Stargell.

Many years ago, while waiting for our flight out of Hartford, Ct to MCO, I am sure one of the other people in the waiting area was Count Basie. He was surounded by about 1/2 dozen people. They were all just sitting there talking quietly among each other. Some of those sitting with him seemed to be constantly surveying the crowd of people waiting for their flights. Our flight was called first and we had to walk in the general direction of where they were all sitting. I kind of gave one of the others in the group a kind of Mr. Spock 1 eyebrow raised looked and he gave me a slight nod as we continued on to our gate.
To this day I don't know for sure if it was him but I like to believe it was.
It was only a year or 2 later that he passed away.

he was at WDW filming a promo for Disney don't know what became of it.

DH shoot his hand in the hat shop on Main Street then the next day we saw him again on Discovery Island.

This was pre 1997 can't remember which year though. Just know we did not have our DS at the time.

I saw jimmy osmond this week. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was at the boardwalk, & i sat next to an actress at the stunt car show last week. I cannot remember her name, but she was always playing a boozy type of character in the 70's. love boat type stuff. very nice person.

I'm a little late in the game here, but I know who Dick Button is too. Mostly from his commentator days at the Olympics, though I also know that he was a two-time gold medalist himself. :teeth:

As for Michael Landon, a fun story. When my Mom was growing up in Melbourne, FL during the Bonanza heydey, Michael Landon came to do an appearance at a place called Western Wonderland or something like that in Titusville (east of Disney). Mom went with a friend and they wore Bonanza vests that they made; Michael Landon picked them out of the crowd and they spend the next couple of days with him and his wife, helping him hand out pictures and sign autographs. They got to do it again a couple of years later.

As for me, I've met my favorite famous people in the world--U2--but that's a story for another list.

DH and I used to see lots of famous people when we lived in NYC, but now that we're in Philly not so much. :guilty:

In Feb when we were there we rode behind Kurt Busch and his fiancee (I believe that is what hubby said) on the Great Movie Ride. They were on the ride when we came through the automatic doors but it took until he started talking to the CM before hubby realized who he was. The CM had NO IDEA who she was talking to but hubby knew as soon as Kurt said where he was from. Hubby grew up in a racing family so that was pretty cool for him. For anyone who know who Kurt Busch is (a NASCAR driver) he was SURE it was him by sitting behind him and noticing his ears!!! They are kinda big and he's kind of cartoonish looking. We didn't bother him but we noticed they had a VIP tour guide with them when they exited. It was the Monday before Daytona 500 when they have the day off. I thought to myself, "one day off and they go to MGM...I would take MK anyday!!!!"

We were at MK in 1998, my husband said he saw Kevin Bacon and family, they passed righ next to us near the cinderella castle. I never saw them, but he is much more observant about things like that than i am.

I was at WDW the weekend of the 100 Years of Magic (Dec 3-5, 2001) (lots of press events) and spotted the following in various places around the resort:

Regis Philbin
Kelly Ripka
Julie Andrews
Marie Osmond
Michael Eisner
Roy Disney

Just this past January, I was in the audience for a Millionaire taping with Meredith Viera

while at the Rainforest Cafe at AK this past Tuesday the 22nd we saw Donnie Osmond with his family eating, the waiter had to point him out.

He must be a fast mover. He was at the live broadcast of American Idol last Tuesday. It aired at 8pm eastern. They must have been on the way to the airport.

I know I'm a little delayed but I would MUCH rather see Kenny Chesney than Keith Urban... Not that hes not hot! (drooling)

Sorry to disappoint, but not all elements in "Live" broadcasts are live. Several times, they pre-tape elements to make sure it's "just right" or because a celeb can't be there when it is live (sorry to give away the secret!).

I don't have any WDW or Disneyland celeb sightings, but at the airport in San Francisco a few years ago, I saw Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown after they made their quick getaway from Hawaii when they got caught with marijuana in their luggage. I ran into her and their girls in the bathroom where she was singing as her kids used the bathroom, and bumped into him just outside as he was waiting for them to hurry.

I had VIP passes a few years ago to a Sting concert in NYC...saw lots of celebrities in the catering tent but Kevin Bacon was actually out in front and dancing with us (a group of about six ladies)! He was very cool. That night I saw Conan O'Brien, Susan Sarandon, Goldie Hawn, Dennis Miller, Boomer Eisiason(sp?) and probably some others I've forgotten about right now. Really cool night!
