Michael J. Fox and Family at WDW

We were at the MK this past Nov and DH saw Erik Estrada (from CHIPS fame) pushing a stroller in a gift shop. DH came to find me, but he was gone by the time I got there. We could hear all the CM's talking about it after.

hilltop - Keith Urban is a doll baby - soooooo sweet but much skinnier in person than he looks on TV. I met him last year at a CMA after party (he was still in shock that he won!!!).

I saw Michael Landon and his family at Disney years ago in Mickey's Birthdayland. Everyone was rushing over to get his autograph but he nicely but firmly asked everyone to please let him just enjoy Disney with his family. He didnt sign any autographs and just sat in the front row with his wife and kids and watched the show. :)

::MickeyMo This is what happened when we ran into the wrestler, Taz, while shopping at the home store at DTD. He nicely said that he didn't like to sign autographs while he was with his family. :flower:

I have been very lucky to meet different celeb's while working at EPCOT many years ago and while on holidays. Some are hard to recongnize when there just in thier tourist gear with thier family. The nicest ones I met though was Donnie Osmond and on a diferent occasion Marie Osmond. They were both so friendly and down to earth. Sometimes we forget they are ordinary people wanting to have the same fun we are having at Disney. i have never asked for an autograph or picture. I have found that if you treat them like a normal everyday person and respect that they are there with thier family, they are more likely to want to talk to you. Makes for a great memory!

Back in 1983, we saw Dick Button and his family in line for 20,000 Leagues. I think that was the first time I ever saw a celebrity in person.

OK, now I get to sit and guess how many people read this and have no idea who I'm talking about. :rotfl:

ME ME ME ME !!!! I know, I know!!!! Call on Me!!! ROTFLMMEO

I know too! I even know who Sonya Henje is! LOL

And just to make you feel better - my big encounter with a "celebrity" was when I literally ran into Peter Marshall at the Truman Library in Independence, MO. That was probably 30 years ago or more!! I figure there's just as many folks scratching their heads over him as Dick Button!

The closest I've come to a celebrity at WDW was seeing Emeril at CityWalk!

I saw Gregory Hines standing in line in customs in Tokyo at about 2:30 a.m.! I was so tired - kept looking at him and thought maybe I went to high school with him! Then I finally realized why he looked familiar! I left him alone - we were all quite tired!

We were there this past summer and saw Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz. We were eating at that restaurant right across from Haunted Mansion (can't remember what it's called). Some friends we were with were just telling us that they were in line for Space Mt and it was shut down and a rumor went through the line that it was closed because Justin T. and Cameron D. were going to ride. Well a few minutes later we noticed that the room next to where we were eating was roped off and suddenly there were CM's standing near the entrance to the room and next thing we know Cameron and Justin were coming up the back stairs with their families/bodyguards, etc. and they sat in there to eat.
For the rest of the trip it was a joke with our group - anytime a ride "broke down" or closed we all said "I guess Justin and Cameron are riding!".. :)

A few years ago we saw Jerry Springer in Animal Kingdom. Not on my top ten list but still a TV personality I guess. :sunny:

Well I do not have to worry about seeing celebrities. I am always so engrossed in my surroundings I never notice them. My DH jokes that is we bump into anyone we know when we are out he is the the to spot them. I am always in my own little :cloud9: world.

Was he trying to get two chimps to throw bananas at each other because one had a crush on a former gorilla? :rotfl2:

My sister saw Michael J. Fox and his family on the West Side at DTD yesterday. If you there, keep your eyes open and you might spot a celebrity.
FYI, I'll be there the first week of May for The Happiest Celebration on Earth! I'll gladly pose for pictures and sign autographs.... ;)

Just last week we saw Mary Lou Retton and her family at Whispering Canyon. She was at the table across from us and our kids did the horse races together. We were next to one another watching the little ones in the race, but I didn't want to butt into her privacy. No one spoke to her or asked for autographs, etc. Either they didn't notice or they respected her family time. There was a CM sitting at her table though.

We were at WDW the first week of December, 2001. We had just got to the front of the line at Peter Pan's Flight (one of my favorites) when 2 "boats" went by with people in them. I thought to myself "We were next! How did those people get on??" Then I laughed when I saw it was Kelly Ripa and Mark Conseules, their 2 kids and his parents. Kelly and Regis were taping at MGM at the time. When we got off, they were still standing by the exit and some woman asked them for a picture. I kept on walking. I felt bad for them.

We also saw Mary Lou Retton spring break 2003 at the pool at CSR. I wasn't sure at first if it was her, but then I figured out it was her, but didn't aproach her because I didn't want to bother her and her family, but it was cool to see her since I was such a big fan back in 1984 when she won the gold.

How did you know it was her at the pool? Did she do a double back flip into the water, landing a perfect 10? :rotfl2:

(P. S. I really do like her -- I just couldn't resist!) :earboy2:
