My sister saw Michael J. Fox and his family on the West Side at DTD yesterday. If you there, keep your eyes open and you might spot a celebrity.

Back in 1983, we saw Dick Button and his family in line for 20,000 Leagues. I think that was the first time I ever saw a celebrity in person.

OK, now I get to sit and guess how many people read this and have no idea who I'm talking about. :rotfl:

Count me in. :confused3 Name rings a bell, I see no face.

I know who you are talking about....I wonder if it's showing my age

I met him at the World professional skating championships in MD one year.

Years and years ago, my grandma met him and asked for his autograph and he refused. :sad2:

You know, I'm the type that if I think I see a celebrity, I'm just never 100% sure because they always look different in person.

However, on that note, I was nearly sure I saw Brian McKnight and his family on my monorail towards the end of our trip this week. They were the only others on the monorail and he kept looking back at us, almost paranoidly out of the corner of his eyes, almost trying to figure out if we were noticing who we were.

nope haven't heard of him
must be because im not that old?
i was about 10-11 when i found out who julie andrews was even though i've watched mary poppins alot (hence my name)

Here's another one. :confused3 I'm "clueless". :teeth:
But it sure would be fun to spot Michael J. Fox and his family or some other celebrity. Here's a good one: what about Keith Urban? (country singer) He is soooooo easy to look at!

He was a top-level American figure skater many years ago and did skating commentary for MANY years after that. I'm not sure if he's still doing the commentary this year......

Now,if we could get Mr Depp to make a surprise appearance on PoTC while I'm there....... THAT would be a Disney memory! pirate:

When I was working in the AutoPlaza at MK, Vanilla Ice came through in a huge Mobile Home and stayed at Fort Wilderness. Coincidentally, a friend of mine was at the Hoopdy-do-Review and was sitting at the table next to him. He leaned over to his friend and said "I think that's Vanilla Ice," V-Ice hating being remember as V-Ice leaned over and replied: "It's Rob Van Winkle." Conversation akwadly over, lol! I wish I was there!

Hmmm...never even occured to me to engage in "celebrity watching" on my upcoming solo trip.. Since I'll just be wandering about aimlessly anyhow - LOL - I'll have to keep my eyes wide open.. :flower:

As others have said though, even if I DID see someone, I probably wouldn't be sure it was actually them..

Awww I do feel sorry for celebs sometimes.. It would be nice to see them , but imagine what it would be like to be hounded on vacation with your family...

hilltop - Keith Urban is a doll baby - soooooo sweet but much skinnier in person than he looks on TV. I met him last year at a CMA after party (he was still in shock that he won!!!).

I saw Michael Landon and his family at Disney years ago in Mickey's Birthdayland. Everyone was rushing over to get his autograph but he nicely but firmly asked everyone to please let him just enjoy Disney with his family. He didnt sign any autographs and just sat in the front row with his wife and kids and watched the show. :)

True enough. I can't imagine interrupting someone's vacation to ask for an autograph. Not to say I wouldn't really want it, but I just can't imagine being the person who risked ruining part of their trip.

That said, we can all enjoy that moment when we simply spotted someone. :3dglasses

:earseek: Agreed! I would never ask a celebrity for an autograph in a setting such as that.. They're entitled to enjoy a family vacation just like anyone else and I can't even IMAGINE what it would be like to have people interrupting every two seconds!! :(

That would be a memory - although I'll be on my anniversary trip with my own "hottie"

When we were there last year we were going to KONA cafe for breakfast at the Poly. As we were entering on of the CM's quickly said," I hope you have your autograph books____________ is in there."....We missed the name.....I thought he said BAMBI, hubby thought he said BALU we all couldnt figure it out. When we sat down at the cafe we saw it was Barry Bonds (I didnt know who he was but DH did) He was sitting at a table with his family and a Dsiney employee with a vest on and was on the phone the whole time. When it came time to leave we went to the elevator and went down....we realized our mistake and took the elevator back to the 2nd floor . When the elevator opened there was Mr. Bonds and his family. He put his arm in the door to hold the door open and we had some trouble getting around him with the stroller and wheelchair. his wife started telling him to get out of the way. He rolled his eyes and then she started telling him to stop rolling his eyes at her.....it was funny and it reminded me of myself and DH. We thanked him and he smiled at DD and made a comment about her being cute and down they went. His wife told him to stop talking and get out of our way...hee hee. I commented to DH that I had never seen an arm that big before in my life!!!! Dh was so excited to have seen him. It was FUN!! We didn't bother him for an autograph etc....no one did. I think celebrities should be able to enjoy their vacations without being disturbed.....just seeing a famous person was enough.
I am glad that Michael J Fox is enjoying good health and is well enough to take his family to Disney.

One year my mom said that they saw Drew Carrey at MGM. That was the one time that I didn't go, or else I would've asked for a pic w/him. :teeth:

while at the Rainforest Cafe at AK this past Tuesday the 22nd we saw Donnie Osmond with his family eating, the waiter had to point him out.
