Could someone help me understand this ride a bit more. I've been reading about it and it sounds like the Buzz Lightyear ride a MK. I think one book described it as Buzz on steroids. But, then I read it can cause motion sickness. Could someone please elaborate... I love Buzz, but do easily get motion sickness and don't want to try it if that's possible.

Thanks.

Like Buzz, you have a gun and targets to shoot at.
Unlike Buzz, you don't control the spin of your vehicle and there's at least two spots where the vehicle spins very quick. There's also 2 tracks instead of one and your vehicle slightly competes against the vehicle on the other track.
Its a really fun ride.

Buzz sometimes causes me to get motion sickness--MIB does not. The spins are not constant. You usually only rotate three times around before it stops and then just moves forward. It's a very fun ride!

I get motion sickness on Cat In The Hat - it is much worse than MIB.

I get motion sickness too, but MIB has never bothered me and as this is my husband's favorite ride we usually ride back to back. It's much more fun than Buzz, IMO.

Definitely more fun than BUZZ.

MIB is a grown up version of BL. You ride through the streets and shoot the aliens. It is more intense, a lot more targets to shoot and I think longer than Buzz. The child in me loves Buzz, the gamester in be loves MIB! As already posted there are a couple of spins that you don't control, but I don't think you need to worry about motion sickness. The spins are short in duration and seperated, not one right after the other. Good luck!

UNLESS, that is, someone in the competing car gets a good line on your exhaust port and manages to stay on target.

(actually, last time I rode MIB there was no competing car yet we still kept spinning around at that point. No, I wasn't trying to shoot my own exhaust port)

A few weeks ago they had a problem with the ride, which was causing spinning even if your exhaust wasn't hit. I believe that has been corrected now though.

Sounds plausible. This was the first weekend of October where we had the spin spin spin issue. I didn't get a chance to ride it last weekend when we were there.

Y'know, now that I think about it, the ride wasn't opened until at least ten on the morning we had the spinning problem. Seems likely those events may be related...

Yeah, the problem went on for about 3 weeks from what I understand but I believe it is corrected now. I rode it a couple of times when it was spinning like crazy also.

We rode it last week and did not have the spinning issue (the week of Oct 24th).

Wow, I've gotten a wonderful response on this post. I quess I will have to try this ride. Thanks again.
