Just booked a cruise leaving out of Miami for 2022. We have never left out of Miami so just a couple of questions :

Is there a preferred DCL hotel that DCL uses and do they provide transportation from hotel to airport and then hotel to the port?
As we will be arriving two days early is there a recommended hotel in Miami and recommendations on transportation to Miami port?

Thank you

The dis has a sponsor called Fltours that provide transportation to and from the airport
FLTours only operates in the Orlando area.

The only hotel listed on the DCL ground transportation page is EB hotel. They mention they can provide a courtesy transfer to the hotel from the airport. The hotel is right next to the airport, a spot I would not find convenient if arriving a few days before the cruise.

Last March, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency. It’s well situated and the Lyft ride to the port took us around 15 minutes on the morning of the cruise. There are plenty of other options, like the South Beach boutique hotels. Some spots in the city are not so inviting once the sun sets, so inquire a bit into the neighborhood where you will stay.

Miami hotels I really liked:

- South Beach... Marriott Stanton.

- Biscayne Bay... The Epic.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn, Port of Miami last year and were happy. It's walkable to restaurants and shopping. They also had a shuttle to POM for a small service fee (I think $5/person).

We stayed at the Intercontinental Miami in January. It was a short walk to the Bayside Marketplace and we had a great view of Biscayne Bay and the port. We took a Lyft to the port and it cost about $10.
