Has anyone taken in a game while there? Any tips? We can get tkts near the goaline in the lower stand. Having said that the wife does not like NFL alought she might like to see a game to expeirence it. The 213mile drive to miami is a bit off putting. If you have gone to a game did you find the drive simple enought and did you stay overnight in Miami?

I've done this. It was a hoot. The stadium is dead easy to find right off the turnpike. takes about 2 1/2 hours. I stayed at the holiday inn, pro player stadium for a monday night game.

It has its own car park and provides a free bus to drive across the road to the stadium. It is definitely walkable but they don't recommend it as the stadium is in a less than salubrious neighbourhood and you will probably be mugged or shot if you walk there late at night, apparently. I found it just fine and loved every minute.

thanks for your reply, I assume that as the hotel is so close then the hotel is in this less than salubrious area. I have looked at several close by hotels and the reviews appear to have "poor service, dirty, run down" in common. We are only looking to sleep over so 5 star is not required but dirty is perhaps to low to consider. Was the holiday inn OK and how long ago were you there. What is traffic like on game day? we are considering staying near the beach (in Hollywood) and driving the game from the hotel.

IT was 5 or 6 years ago. the holiday Inn was like a holiday inn! It was manic at check in though as it was a gameday. The roomwas fine. The bar was great though and a hot buffet breakfast was included.

As for traffic, it was mental! We went to a monday night game and it was very very busy. I think driving may have been scary. I'm glad to have gotten on the free hotel bus. The next day was like a ghost town all around. We had a we explore but it was very run down and I was glad to leave and head back to Orlando.

The whole game day experience was great fun and everyoneat the game was very friendly when they heard my scottish voice and saw my claymores top!

Just dont plan anymore time there than the game! It really is a dump.
