I attended my first MHP on Saturday night. We drove down Friday night and hung out at DTD much of Saturday till it was time to get in line for the party.

They let us in about 3:30 which was a very nice surprise. The parks were packed of course at that time so lines were long but we wandered around and did a few rides that weren't or had FP available (space, Star tours and indy were out of FP either before we got in the park or right before I got to the machines) too bad with lines till the party started.

It was DD (8), DGF, and our Neighbors who have two girls (7 and 9). We had a blast. I missed the parade and fireworks as the kids and I were far more interested in rides. But the rest of the party saw the parade (they were not impressed with the parade and said they wouldn't wait to see it again) but they LOVED the fireworks.

The treat trails are pretty cool. I had not been in the innoventions building since it became not innoventions so it was neat to see basically a star wars museum (one of the treat trails went through the lower level of innoventions).

Party started at 7 but it took some time to get all the non party guests out. But after that lines for Indy were 20 minutes or less, space was the same thing. Star Tours was 20-30. Matterhorn had what looked like a long line but it didnt take long at all. The CM said 15 minutes and I scoffed at that but he was pretty darn close. Might have been a little bit faster.

DD did Matterhorn and Space for the first time and was so excited after each. She has always been too scared to ride those in the past. But she liked both and said she would ride them again.

BTMRR was the groups Fav ride and rode either 3 or 4 times, I forget now. All of the kids loved that one. We call it the fast choo choo.

Myself and the 8 and 9 yo girls went all the way to midnight ending the night on POC for the 2nd time. The rest of the group conked out from rides and did treat trails and shopped the last couple hours.

I liked having short lines at night as we usually do everything early in the mornings on our DL trips and leave after the night shows are done so we can get up early the next day. Rarely do we close the parks so this was a cool new experience for us. The villains were cool to see as well. DGF was hoping they would have Ursula but we didnt see her. Im not sure if they have an actual Ursula costume that can walk around the parks but she was hoping they would.

Very cool! I went on the 26th and fireworks got cancelled :'(

We're going tonight though too, so hopefully we get some fireworks this time..
