So, I was nuts about this park when it 1st opened and I was a teenager. I have 2 kids now one is PreK the other is 2nd grade. Do you think its worth spending a day over here with these ages? We are skipping the hopper this time. Suggestions?

I wouldn't sacrifice one of the other parks, but if you are staying four or more days, yes, there's plenty for them to enjoy!

My little ones loved The Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney.

I loved Fantasmic, but they were a little scared. I'd be sure to have glow toys, lollipops, or some other treat to distract them if they get scared.

They Playground is fun for the kids, but I found it pretty stressful as I could not keep up with or keep track of my boys.

We love MGM, there's Beauty and the Beast, it's a great show! Muppets 3D, Cars Lights and Motors (or whatever that is)...my daughter thought it was a cool show (she was 4 then), the Great Movie Ride, Playhouse Disney, Star Tours, the parade is fun.

I like MGM much better than Animal Kingdom, we've been twice, and have enjoyed our whole day. I wouldn't skip it.

I wouldnt spend a whole day there with younger kids, just because I think MK or AK has better, more age-appropriate rides. Dont get me wrong, I love MGM! But there isnt as much to do there for the younger crowd.

Its the least favorite of all the parks but I still couldn't see not going at all. But if you only have a few days I guess its the one I would skip if I had to.

I went there in May of 2007 with a 6 and 3 yr old. They loved Hollywood Studios. There are many character meets. They met the incredibles, little einsteins, kim possible, jojo. My daughter loves the beauty and the beast show and the voyage of the little mermaid. My son loved the stars and motor cars parade and the playhouse disney show. They liked putting their hands in the celebrity handprints outside the great movie ride.
The Honey I shrunk the kids movie set is another thing they didnt want to leave.
I am a huge scrapbooker and there is great photo ops at this park too.
We spent a whole day there.

We usually dedicate on full day at DHS. My boys are 6 and 4 and they really like this park a lot. They love the Indiana Jones show, Lights, Motors, Action show. Star Wars ride is fun. I think there's plenty to do there. We always watch the parade, and Fantasmic is a must for us everytime.

I'm taking my then 2yr old in Sept. and think there's more for him at MGM then EPCOT.

There's the Playhouse Disney show (my son loves those shows), Voyage of Little Mermaid. Beauty and the Beast, Light, Action Stunt show with the cars, the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, the Muppet 3D movie, Indiana Jones, the great movie ride.

Plus you get to see Pixar characters in the parade and there's Al's Toy Barn. Also, MGM is a smaller park and I think easier to navigate with smaller children - not as much walking.

I say MGM is worth a day - it won't take a whole day to do everything there. I usually hop the day I go to MGM. If you don't have enough days for all the parks, then it's up to you what you think your family will enjoy most. If you have the day - then I say you should do MGM.

Disney's Hollywood Studios was my six year old's favorite park. He absolutely loved Rock n Roller Coaster and all the movie sets. Honey I Shrunk the Kids was a favorite, along with the stunt show. Tower of Terror scared him and he said he would not ride it again until he was older. He enjoyed all the shops and just had a fabulous time. I would NOT skip it if I were you.

They will love it!!! I started taking my now DS17 and DD16 when they were 3 and 2 and they have never outgrown it. DD still has to see the Backlot Tour and we've seen the Mermaid show so much we know what's happening when, but it is still a must do!! The new parade will add to the excitement of it too. Just meeting the characters and getting autographs is an added bonus because they are so plentiful there!!!
