MGM to Epcot - best route

I am looking for the fastest Disney transportation route from MGM to Epcot. I think I can take the boat right outside MGM right? I'm not sure if there are buses available directly from MGM to Epcot. This isn't easy information to find. Does anyone know if there's a website with all the Disney transportation info and possibly a map? Thanks!!

You can take the boat, or you can walk. I acutally prefer the walk. If the weather is nice, it's acutally a pleasant stroll!

I can walk there? I never knew that. That is a very cool idea. Could you tell me how I'd get there, general direction.

When you exit MGM you walk straight past the busses. Always keeping the water on your left. The path takes you past the Boardwalk resort. Yoc make a left onto the Boardwalk and circle the lake till you get to the far side. The path splits t your right will be Beach Club and to your left will be the International gateway entrance to EPCOT. At a nice pace the walk shoud take 20-25 minutes.

it is faster to walk than to wait for the boat. and it is a nice walk.

Unless you have a hankering to see the Dolphin, Swan, Beach Club and Yacht Club resorts, I think it would be faster to take a right when you get to the end of the MGM path and walk across the Boardwalk until you get to Epcot instead of going all the way around the lake.

I like taking the boat to Swan/Dolphin, the first stop, getting off and then going over the Boardwalk to Epcot.

I would choose walking, if the weather is nice. Probably faster than boat or bus (both are available). Last time my sis and I waited and waited for a bus, and almost missed getting a margarita before Illuminations! should have seen us running from the bus stop to the front gate to Mexico... The bus stop is not especially close to the front gate.

We split the difference last year...We took the boat from MGM to the Yacht and Beach Club, then walked to the International Gateway from there. We still beat the boat.
