What's the key to working out timing at MGM,, after two different days, & 2 nights,, we were never able to go from one show to the next,, alway's just missed getting the next show.. any ideas,, or is this just the way they set it up..

I think it is always hard to watch one show right after another because they are not a continuously loading attraction.

We had better luck alternating---ride T of T, watch Little Mermaid; ride GMR, watch Beauty and the Beast, and so on.

I struggle with the same thing. I have to allow at least a day and a half to do MGM just to work in all of the shows.

Your best bet is to get the showtimes ahead of time and work things your in your head. The best strategy tends to work in both rides & shows, with the rides being "filler" for the time between the shows.

Which leads me to another question........how can I find out which days Four for A Dollar does the B&B pre show. Someone told me they aren't there on Mondays? I only have Tue & Wed available for MGM in early January, and I don't want to miss them. (Same thing for Off Kilter and British Invasion at Epcot)

Thanks if anybody can help.

Isn't there a site that list the time of shows and parades, etc.? I thought that I saw one before, I went to the WDW site this morning and they show hours of operation but no show times. Any ideas on finding out show times ahead of arrival? We have one afternoon and night planned at MGM and I want to fit in the parade, Playhouse Disney, the Beauty and the Beast show dinner, and the Osborne Lights.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have a system for the kiddie highlights that gets you through most of them by about 12:30:

Arrive at opening and send someone to Little Mermaid for a FP; then go straight to the Muppets and catch the first show. (If your child likes Star Tours, go there first with no dawdling; you can ride it quickly and still get back to Muppets in time to sit in back with no wait if you book it.) After Muppets, you will be near the return time for the first Little Mermaid show, so make your way back to the front of the park and go to VLM, being sure to catch the first or second show. Then when you exit VLM, cross the walkway and get right into line for Playhouse Disney; your timing should have you waiting there for only about 10-15 minutes. When you leave PD, collect your stroller and pick up FP's for B&TB as you head for lunch.

Note that in the slower seasons, the final shows for PD and VLM usually are over by about 3:00. If you need to do the kiddie shows at MGM, you need to go for them in the morning; if you try following an afternoon break, you will be too late. We always park-hop and split MGM into 2 days; one morning and one evening, with some overlap on the times. On the morning day we target the kid-friendly things, and on the late-day we do the e-ticket rides, Indy and Fantasmic.

That sounds like a great plan for MGM. We have also had good luck hitting an VLM and heading straight over to PD with a short wait at PD.

You mentioned a FP for B&TB (beauty and the beast, correct?). I don't the B&TB is a fast pass attraction, although I have never found a need to get there too early during the slower times of the year. I do make sure I get there early enough to watch the pre-show (four for a dollar).
