We only have 1 day when we could go to this - Sunday 4th June (our first full day in Orlando after landing the day before).

We both enjoyed the Star Wars films - especially the three that came out in the 70s with Harrison Ford as Han Solo. Are the Star Wars weekends worth going to and is there anywhere I can find more information on it please as the Disney web site has very little?

I think we've been to SW Weekends three times in the last 5-6 years.

Always loads of fun! Last year we attended a talk with ANthony Daniels and the actor who voiced Sebulba (sp?). Fantastic! Lots of behind-the-scenes anecdotes.

we went last year, its very very busy and all happens around the star tours ride and the outskirts. there was an extra buzz last year as episode 3 had just come out but at any time it would be great, I would recommend you go.

we went to sw weekend in 2004, great fun but we felt a bit out of place as everyone was dressed as charcters from the film.. :teeth:
worth the effort, but dont go expecting to get on many rides as very busy, had adr for fantasmic luckily, as couldn t get a seat otherwise. If your a fan go, if not I recommend trying to avoid the park that weekend, we did get some great pictures, and the boys could some light sabre practise in!!
Do get adrs if your going, my only piece of advice..
tracy and her mice

My DH can't wait to do this one year :teeth:

I may even dress up as Princess Leia :rotfl2:

Think that is maybe something for a different board.. remember Ross and Rachael from Friends :rotfl2: ;)

Thanks folks - this sounds like a 'must do'. Are the 'talks' posted anywhere before hand or is it a case of 'see what is happening on the day'?

susieh. last year nearer the time someone posted a link giving all the info of timings for the days, I am sure you could do a search nearer the time, also on the day there is alist of events you can pick up on the way in to MGM.

we went to the first weekend last year Very Very busy but worth it. Hubby and son went to see the film the day it came out on the Thurs in DD and then we did star wars weekend on the Sat. :thumbsup2
