which park would be better. she loves thrill rides and shows. I know at mgm went last october that she will love star tours but is jimmy neutron and bttr better. she will be tall enough for tot so leaning toward mgm. what about shrek4d vs. muppets. what about the shows. too many decisions will be going on wed. aug. 23 so don't think crowds will be an issue.

I would go with universal. BTTF isn't that great, it is really jerky.
however US has Jimmy Nuetron, Shrek, ET, Barney show (and indoor playgorund), Woody woodpecker coaster, etc
You might even want to go ahead and get the 2park 1 day tickets and hit seusslanding in IOA. IOA has been my DD's favorite park since she was 3.5. sure she loves WDW, but IOA is her fav.

And don't forget the great characters to meet like Dora, SpongeBob, and Shrek and Doneky.

This is a no brainer, Universal old park and espeically Islands of Adventure. MGM in my opinion is the last park on the list for Orlando for me. I would only do MGM if you had 2 weeks to kill and started running out of things to do. Universal in my opinion is better than all of the Disney parks anyway, so definitely do a 2 day (at least) so you can hit both Universal old park and IslandsOAdventure. Need at least a Day per park. I would also recommend staying on universal property if you are not concerned about the budget.

I would also say Universal. MGM is cool, but mostly for adults. Don't miss the shrek/fiona/Donkey meet and greet, it is phenomenal. The donkey actually has conversation with you and your kids, it is incredible. If I could afford it, I'd fly to Florida, go the see that so I can have it on video!!! Hubby had the video camera on when we were waiting in line so when he pressed to record button to record donkey talking to my 3 year old he actually shut it off!!! He was so bummed. My little girl touched his nose and he sneezed in response! He talked to her like he was a friggen real person. Also, at IOA the spiderman ride is awesome and mild enough for kids. Hope my 2 cents helps.

MGM has ToT and a few older rides and shows, but other than that its no comparison to Universal, there's just a lot more newer shows and attractions for all ages at Universal.

I agree.....Universal has so much more than MGM......I think Shrek is WAY better than Muppets.....and I believe your daughter can relate more to Shrek and Jimmy N. than Muppets (more "her generation"). BTTF is rough for a kid her height.....Jimmy Neutron is a legend in itself! It was the FIRST thing we rode there, and after 4x in a row, I had to tell DS (7) that there ARE things to do at Universal! If you can get to IOA, go...I (being ahem "29yo" ;) ) loved it! And DS loved the Mystical Fountain at IOA. I know you asked this question on a Universal board, and if you asked the same question on the Disney board, you might get replies in favor of MGM......I think a lot of peeps are surprised at the amount of things at UO for smaller kids....they think UO is all thrills and bigger rides...not so.
