MGM first night we arrive?

This is my first family trip to Disney. We are arriving at Disney on the 12th in the afternoon. We will be staying at the Caribbean Resort. Is it reasonable to try to go to MGM that first night? My kids are 7, 5 and 2. We want to see the following shows: Belle, Little Mermaid, and Disney Live on Stage. How many shows are reasonable to see?

Don't waste any time at your resort.

Check in and go directly to the Studios.
You should be able to see your shows before they close for the evening.

Even though YOUR dates may not be posted yet... they will be before you go.
And the times listed NOW will be pretty accurate anyway.

check show times. Playhouse disney has it's last show pretty early in the afternoon.

We always do MGM on the first day. There is not too too much to see and do there, so it fits in nicely for the first day. There is also not too much walking comparted to Epcot or MK. Have fun

I think MGM is a great first day thing!! I wish we could do that this time (in Oct), but I'm thinking we'll head over to MK so that we can do the Extra Magic Hours and get the big rides out of the way.

I love MGM!! Be sure to check out the character greeting areas. This is a great way to start your Disney magic. My kids loved seeing Jo Jo and the characters from Toy Story. You can check your park map for specific locations.
