Anyone been to the SWW event recently? I heard the park gets packed. How busy are the other rides? Are most of the crowds at the SW events? We want to see SW characters, but also get in all the must do rides that day. :thumbsup2

We were there last weekend and waited about 15 min. for GMR, ST had 10 min. wait, and we waited about 45 min. to get our picture with chewbacca. However, crowds were most likely lighter last weekend than they will be the rest of the month, now that schools are out.

We were at MGM last Saturday and it was pretty busy. Not such a long wait for most rides, but ToT and RnRC were insane. The standby line for RnRC was over an hour when we rode it. (but we had FP, yay) The only other really long line that I remember was for Voyage of the Little Mermaid (90 minutes). Surprizingly, we only waited 10 minutes for ST. Don't let the crowd scare you, though. We got there at park opening and were able to ride all the major rides (ToT and RnRC twice each).

as long as the crowds are not like new years i will be a happy camper this weekend

We were there last Friday. We got to the park a few minutes after it opened and had little wait times on anything. We walked right on to ToT, then headed to RcR and only had about a 15 minute wait. We then did the Great Movie Ride, then to Star Tours, (where there was a crowd in front of the building for a Star Wars character thing) but we only had about a 5 minute wait for the ride. I really recommend getting to the parks early!!Also, the posted wait times are not always accurate. Some would say 30 minutes but it actually was 15, some would say 20 and it was actually 30-40. Ask a CM outside the ride.

We went to MGM last Sunday. RnR was a walk on at about 3 pm! ToT was a 15 min wait. Most other attractions had very low crowds as most people seemed to be waiting in lines to have their pictures taken with the Star Wars characters.

Of course, it'll be crazy this weekend when you add the memorial day crowds with the stars wars folks. I would avoid MGM this weekend.

We were also there is past Sunday. ToT was anywhere between 15-30 minutes for most of the day (although we left the park around 3). RnR was 20-40 minutes. Fast Pass return times for both rides were generally only an hour or so away from the time we got them. At noon, Star Tours had a wait time of 20 minutes. We waited about 5-10 minutes for GMR.

What rides? The Studios is almost all shows. Ten shows, the last time I counted. Unless you count the Great Movie Ride, the Back Lot Tour, and the simulator - Star Tours as rides, there are only two full-blown rides in the Studios: Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.

Don't get me wrong here. I love the Studios. But that's because of the many shows, not the two rides. You shouldn't have any problem riding those two, especially if you get into the park early and use fastpasses.

The trick to a good day at the Studios is to get the show starting times onto your personal itinerary, and making your ADRs so that those times also fit well within the overall plan.

Enjoy.

The crowd at WDW has picked up dramatically over the last couple of days. Expect some waits.

During SWW days, waits for non-SWW attractions are about what they would be on any other day, if not less
