We were all set to go to Backlot Express for a CS during our trip at the end of September. We've heard so many good things about it. Well DH read today that it will be closed for renovation while we are there. Bummer!
So we are looking for suggestions for another fairly good CS while at Disney Studios. It will be for a light dinner. We have ADRs for Hollywood and Vine Character Lunch so we aren't sure how hungry we will be but we are sure the kiddos may get hungry around dinner time.

Found out about the closing on Mousesavers this a.m.

Suggestions please?

Where did you read that it will be closed?? We are going in Sept and are planning on eating there.

Starring Rolls cafe is good if you like sandwiches (DBF and I were THRILLED to find this place last year when we went as we were sick to death of pizza!)

thanks for posting this. not suggestions for you since this is my first wdw visit, but I too planned on eating there. one more bump in the road averted.

Bring a sandwich. CS at MGM stinks on ice.

That is too funny, sad, but funny! Hmmm, I'll just tell the kids to load up at lunch time I'm guessing!

Oh no! We planned to eat there for our CS lunch on Sept. 24 and 28. Now I need to find another place. Thanks for posting this information!

This place is located across from the entrance to Fantasmic. They have very good burgers, but a limited menu if I remember. Also, it is all outside seating. If we don't have the Fantasmic dining package booked, we get burgers at Rosie's and carry them up into the theater with us. Feeding the kids is an easy way for our boys to pass the time waiting for Fantasmic to begin.

And the burgers are pretty good, too! :thumbsup2

we also like Rosie's...they offer kids meals which were perfect for me (I'm 23) and you can get chicken strips, fries, applesauce and juice or chocolate milk in place of soda. The burgers are very tasty too. They also have a fish n chips type of place next to Rosie's but I've ever eaten there.
