MGM closing early this Friday, Dec. 8th

I just thought I'd let everyone know that mgm studios is closing at 7pm this Friday, Dec. 8th, not at 8pm. There's supposed to be some private event. Fantasmic will show at 6pm. Anyone happen to know what the event is?

I didn't know what Pop Warner is either so I googled it. It appears to be some type of cheer /dance group.

Probably becuase they would loose more money closing down MK early rather then MGM.

Also, to the poster who thinks MGM over MK because Disney'ed lose more money closing Magic Kingdom early? More likely it's that the organization chose to pay for MGM over the probably much more expensive MK.

How did you find out MGM was closing early?? I am trying to find ou the same thing for 2/11. I heard that there is an event for the national cheerleading championships that night at MGM and I have ADR's based on 7:00 Fantasmic. I will be all screwed up if Fantasmic is an hour earlier. HELP!!!

They are closing MK early on the 8th for MVMCP. I guess that leaves EPCOT for everyone else who wont pony up the extra $$ for tix.

It just sucks that Epcot is going to be the only open park friday night. MK closes at 7pm, and AK at 5pm. People are gonna be packed in like sardines. Good thing I'm gonna be at AK during the day and Chef Mickeys at night.
