MGM cheerleaders?

I had planned on touring MGM on the evening of Sunday Feb. 1st. Now I see they are having competitions there:
Jan. 31-Feb. 1st MGM college cheerleading and dance competitions at MGM

Should we avoid MGM? Or will this not interfere with our plans?

This is an update to my earlier post. February 1st/Sunday is scheduled to have in MGM the National Dance Team Championship party with DJ and Dancing, Tower of Terror, etc.

Will this be an after-hours event? Should we avoid MGM touring this day?

I was there last February. They had their competitions during the day at the Indiana Jones Theater. It really wasn't a big deal but there were groups of cheerleaders throughout the park, I guess before or after their competition.

Not sure about the DJ Party, but my guess would be that part will be after hours. They may hold it in the square in front of RnR.

We will keep our itinerary as scheduled. We really only plan to go see the parade and have dinner, any attractions we get done will just help us get a head start on our second touring day.

Really, I thought that they had moved the competition to the big hall in the World of Sports Complex.

I think it is a shame to close down an attraction to do the competition. It really isn't fair to the people that have come a long way and then cannot experience something because a "special interest" has taken over.

The cheerleaders are every place during that time, but, I never felt that they were any problem.
