MGM Character Meal Update Thread

Well I know there is a buffet where I live that does do characters. I checked the list and Buzz is on it. Not sure why Disney can't seem to get "permission" from a company they own now.

I also would love to know where it is. TIA

It was at the Hilltop Steakhouse in Saugus. It is on RT.1. I never even knew they did a breakfast buffet but the last time I was there they had a sign up in the lobby. On the list there were a bunch of Disney characters and my sister pointed out that Buzz was one of them.

Is the list online? This would be so cool! I noticed the other day that Sullivan Street Grill near Liberty Tree Mall does character brunches. I don't know if it is weekly or what, but the sign the other day was for Pooh.

CamColt- not sure if this is a regular thing. There was a list and I think they only do it on weekends. I really didn't pay much attention. For some reason I only have an interest in dining with characters in Disney. Not sure why.
It is worth a call though.

tmfranlk-Not sure if they have a website but I will try to find it. Yes the Sylvan Street Grill does do it too but again not sure how often and what characters they have.

There was also a hotel on Rt 128 that did it. They are gone now but I want to say they had the Princesses sometimes too.

Wow! You just brought back some great memories for me of the Hilltop with my dad when I was a kid. Dad died in Nov of 2004. I may just have to bring DH and the kids to the Hilltop, character meal or no.

OMG CamColt! What an awesome idea!!!

Sara74, I am sorry about your dad. That was a place we always went with my Bumpy (grandfather). It holds lots of memories for us too. :)

Nothing once again!
I was wondering if someone who is interested in the playhouse disney meal would be will to take over the calling?? With DS's 8 & 13 this is just not something for my family. I will continue calling (at least for now) untill someone is willing to take it over. TIA, Melissa

I would take over but its costs soo much to call the usa from here

Is there a playhouse disney meal in MGM? :confused3

No there isn't right now but there is a rumor that they may be considering one. You can read the rumor if you go to the Mouseplanet site under the Monday April 3rd WDW Update.

I do not blame you it would cost more for the calls then the meal itself. :goodvibes

Cruz Family,

IMHO, I think you should stop calling now and let someone else start another thread for the other rumoured character meal.

You have done more than enough for all of us who were interested in the Pixar meal. There seems to be no takers on the passing of the "daily caller" job, so you should retire this thread guilt free!!!

It may be of little consolation to everyone but.... if you are looking for a really good boys' meal- IOA has a great one at Confisco Grille with Spiderman and dome Dr. Suess characters- my 5 year old twin boys LOVED it!
