Our next visit is planned for the 3rd week of June 2006. It will be me, DH and Ds's 12 and 14. Not sure where we will be staying yet, on site for sure though.

I know usually it is said to go to AK in the morning. We are only planning on going on Dinosaur, PW and Kali; in that order. So were planning (OK I am planning) :rotfl: on us doing TOT, Indi, Backlot Tour and RR in that order at MGM.

We thought we would do Kali last and head back to the resort so we were not walking around in wet clothes at MGM, or will we dry fast enough? I know it would keep us cool, but I just can not stand being in wet clothes.

what do you all think of doing MGM and AK like that>

Thanks for your opinions! :flower:

I guess it would depend upon the day of the week and the crowd level. We went to MGM last Sunday. Our plan was to do what we could in the morning, then go get a fastpass for Rock n roller, then go out of the park for lunch and come back. We forgot to get the fastpass. When we returned to the park at 2pm, we headed straight to Rock n roller to get a fast pass. The turnstiles were covered since all the fastpasses were distributed for the day. So if it is a crowded day like last Sunday, you may not be able to do all those attractions at MGM.

We just returned from an 8 day trip on June 23. We arrived on a Wednesday morning and although everyplace was crowded, it was not horrible. Then when Tuesday hit it was totally insane. On Tuesday and Wednesday we could do very little without Fast Passes. Everything was really, really crowded. We did the Studios first thing Thursday for a few hours until we had to head back to the airport. The driver to the airport told us that the last of the schools had closed around the country so that is why it got so crowded at the end of our stay. I would plan on doing things early in the day. We had a lot of success doing that. Frontierland in the MK is really quiet for the first couple of hours as most people head over to Space Mountain and Buzz. We rode Splash and Big Thunder with little waits early in the day. On Thurday morning (day after we arrived) we managed to see Mickey's Philharmagic with about six other people that side of the MK was so quiet. Anything past the morning you will have to take a "let's see" attitude and kind of go with the flow trying to find the least crowded park.

ps...you will likely get soaked on Kali, but we got soaked from a downpour on the first day of our trip and we dried really quickly in the Florida heat.
