MF Questions

First off - if I put this in the wrong place I'm sorry. Feel free to move me to the right place.

We signed and faxed back our contract for a resale at BWV. I just have a quick question that I was thinking of, and I figured I could ask you all before calling TTS (although I am sure they'd answer my questions!)

We are responsible for paying our 2009 MFs. We are getting an August use year. Once we are official members, we will call MS and have them take our MFs out monthly, but until we get our info, we can't arrange that. When you all talk about MFs being due at the end of January, do you pay in advance or at the end? I guess I'm asking, will our 2009 MFs be due January 31st, 2009 or will that be when the 2008 MFs would have been due?

I just want to make sure I'm clear on what is expected. Also, if the MFs for 2009 are due January 31st, does that mean starting in Feb 2009 they would start taking my monthly amount for 2010 MFs?

Annual Dues are due by the 15th of January for that year. So for 2009 they would be due Jan 15 2009. They would be considered late if not paid by Feb 14. If you pay MF monthly, that can be set for either the 1st or 15th of the month. The Jan dues payment will always be done on the 15th regardless.

Thanks for that quick help! So, our 2009 Mfs will be due on January 15th, but then we can change it to monthly on the 1st or 15th. I think I get it!

Yes, you can set it up for the 1 st or 15th of each month. Send member Accounting your banking info, though, prior to January, preferably soon afte you close on your conract.

Even if you chose the debit to be made on the 1st of every month, the January payment always posts on the 15th, not the 1st. The January payment is also usually a different amount than the rest of the payments (though that may be changing). Any overs/unders from the previous year (as the taxes are estimates) are usually done wit the January payment.

Thanks Chuck - that is good to know for future reference! We are just making sure we are prepared with a guesstimate of what we'll owe in January. We'll for sure get our bank info to them when we close. We are scheduled to close on or before December 8th. Merry Christmas to us!!!
