At rope drop (no fast passes), which ride (Millenum Falcon or Slinky) would have shorter queues? (assuming we walk at average speed and get to park 15mins before opening).

1. Both will be very, very busy.
(I prefer Slinky, as a ride... by far.)

2. Much, much too late.
(You might not actually get into the park before the attractions open if you arrive at the gate only 15 min. "early.")
I'd be at the gate by at least 45 min. (earlier would be "safer") before posted opening time.

You simply cannot imagine the crush of guests already inside DHS (and positioned to "run" to either Toy Story Land -SD or Star Wars Land -MF) well, WELL before posted park opening time.
And, the crowds at Security bag-check are scary!

I try to be on a bus about by an hour before park opens so as to be there at least 45 minutes before park open. That's just how insane the lines can get.

I remember visiting AK and arrived 45 minutes, where we got in line, which was just ahead of the ticket booths. Not 15 minutes later and the lines were a sea of people out to the bus area. I can only imagine how much worse HS is now w/ the ROTR jockeying.

If you’re going anytime in the near future neither. Both had over an hr wait immediately today. If you don’t get in at the front of the rope drop crowd prepare to wait awhile.

I would do SDD at RD.
As noted, both will have crowds at RD, be there early, at the tapstiles at least 45 minutes before opening to be toward the front.
The lines for SDD, don't decrease a lot during the day.
MFSR lines do tend to get some shorter as the day goes on. With RoTR open, that may not be as true as it used to be.

Millennium Falcon has a Single Rider Line.
If that in any way can work for you... I recommend that you do it.

I assume you meant MFSR, not RoTR.
Corrected. Thanks!

And, while we're at it.
I think the complex "official names" for the Star Wars attractions are ridiculously and unnecessarily
complex and vague.
I'm a long-standing Disney veteran and struggle to discuss these attractions by their "official names."
I don't know how an average guest can keep them straight.
