I read on the Disney Food Blog that yesterday - May 31, 2016 was the last day of the long time Mexico Margarita Stand. The outdoor stand is closing today June 1st.
Just an FYI for all its fans.

The sign I saw posted said it was temporary and that it would be back bigger and better. I can't vouch for the accuracy of that report.

On Facebook there is a page called Margarita Kiosk at Epcot that has a post saying it will be back.

I just got a margarita from there on Saturday night... Sooo good... I did not notice any sign or anything. Hopefully it will be up and running before F&W..

I hope it is temporary, otherwise the tequila cave will be way too crowded I bet!

allears.net also reported it on Twitter and never mentioned that it was temporary - so I wonder what the real story is

I was thinking the same thing. Those lines filled with children waiting for Anna & Elsa will be very, very long and will be stalled right in front of the old Margarita stand location. The stand has been way too popular & successful $$ for WDW to be disappeared. I bet it will reappear in another nook in Mexico out of sight of the kiddies.

Hopefully it's back up and running by the beginning of July! That was supposed to be the first stop for our Drinking Around the World excursion!

Ours too! We had a system! It always started there! I'm glad to see intelligent people guessing it will reappear elsewhere. It gives me hope :mickeyjum

When I first heard of this closure, my immediate thought was the kiosk was going to be moved due to the Frozen Meet & Greet. The kiosk creates enough congestion on busy days and with the new Frozen attraction, traffic could become a huge issue. It seems to me that many years ago, that kiosk was not located in its present area--it is a mobile bar of sorts. I like the idea of an expansion with a better way to cool the kiosk and assure the margaritas are properly frozen--which is often not the case in the hot seasons.

It is temporary, construction permits have already appeared for a new kiosk somewhere else in the Mexico pavilion.

Great news! Looking forward to seeing the reinvention of the "most popular attraction in World Showcase", at least according to the Friendship Boat skippers. ;)
