I just want to tell people that if you go to Mexico and eat at the restaurant inside the building, then get this chicken dish. I even forget the name, but it has a cheese type sauce, and it is a boneless breast with a just a little bone at the end of it for display purposes. This thing was fantastic! I usually just go to Mexico because my kids love the setting (they love the volcano and the river), but I will be enthusiastic about it next time.

OOooooohh..... tell me more!!!!! I am a bit hesitant to try this restaurant because I am a very picky eater but that sounds good. What else was on it/in it/came with it???

Thanks!!!

We ate there for the first time this past August. I had the stuffed poblano peppers wtih the walnut sauce, It was delicius!!! I really can't handle very spicy foods but this was very mild. I also had a margherita which was really tasty, I was glad I wasn't driving;) . My husband on the other hand had the mole poblano. He did not enjoy this dish, it was too spicy. It actually burned off skin on his tongue, his tongue was spotty the next day. The lesson learned was to ask before you order about how spicy it is.

Katherine,
was it Pollo A Las Rajas? it is chicken over red peppers & onions with lots of cheese. if so, i tried this my last trip at lunch and it was absolutely delicious:D san angel inn was the 1st restaurant we went to in a wdw park and it is a favourite, we go every trip. this is the 1st time i had tried this dish and i can hardly wait to go back with dd this dec. very rich though, i ate little else that day.

Katypop,

That was it! That was the name of the dish, Pollo A Las Rajas! I was really shocked at how good it was! I would love to get a carb count on it, but it seemed like it would be fine for Atkins dieters too.

We also had a wonderful waitress there. I told the manager how good she was, but of course, I forget her name now too.

ncmvp,

We went there for lunch and not dinner, so the mole wasn't on the menu. Try this dish! Not too hot at all... just great!

Just an aside for people who like spicy Mexican. I love the Mole Poblano and don't find it that "hot"...just has a nice kick to me. Must make it hard for them to describe it when we vary so much in our tolerance for spiciness.

LOL--I agree, BCV23. I LOVE spicy food so much (and eat it so often) that mole poblano doesn't seem especially hot to me, just tasty. I agree with KProuty that the Pollo a las Rajas is simply delicious.

You know, this discussion reminds me of the time I was living in northern WI. I made Cajun Gumbo (I'm Southern) for a group and I tried especially hard to make it mild. I thought the result was a bit bland but OK with a bit of hot sauce added; however, my friends (who did not TOUCH the hot sauce) kept saying "Wow, this is really spicy!" I had to chuckle at the difference in taste buds.
