Hello all. My family is VERY excited to be on this, our very FIRST, Cruise! We hail from Portland Oregon and are staying at DLR two nights before the cruise. Anyway if its not too late we would love to join any Fish Extender group and all other fun things going onboard. Hope we aren't too late. We are a family of five two boys 12 and 10. My Daughter is 16 and would like to meet other teens her age before we leave on facebook/twitter/whatever sight teens use for such matters! Anyway, look forward to seeing y'all online or onboard.

thanks
Josh

Welcome!:cool1:

G'day! I just checked my ressie today and we went from GTY to an assignment (Made a habit to keep checking at least twice a week...well I went in today and there it was)

Went from:
Standard Inside Stateroom Category 11B - GTY

To
Standard Inside Stateroom Category 11B, #5013

So no pixie dust for us

However I'm sure it will be fine.

I'll still check at the dock if any way to upgrade (for a reasonable price) but given this is a spring break week, highly doubt they will have any space. I"ll still ask and who knows, If not, no biggie. Hubby and I have only cruised on all suite ships before and have always been curious about the inside ones...so I guess we will find out ;)

Note: then I went to this thread and find out the room is over the theatre :surfweb: looks like I'll have to bring earplugs, just in case :sad2:

Then there is this other review thread.

Looks like there are quite a few of us on this thread in the same neighborhood! How nice. I have never been on the wonder before, however I have stayed in this area on the magic and loved it. It was not loud, except for the people next door. In fact there was hardly any traffic as there are very few rooms since the kids floor is around the corner and takes up most of the deck.

Additionally, you have a sideways room which is my favorite inside room. I definately agree with the dis reports they do seem bigger and I find the room layout is so much better. I think you will enjoy it! We are in 5022 so welcome to the neighborhood.

The last time we cruised the Wonder we were in this room. It wasnt loud and there isnt a lot of foot traffic. It was a pretty good room in our opinion!

Our Room came through last night 2022
No upgrade for us also
Just happy that we are anywhere on ship but deck 1 where we were originally booked.not that we have stayed on deck one we were on deck two last time:)

Just saw that on the map Taysmom!! Then this is very good, indeed!!

Between your's and Taysmom's comment, I'm all :woohoo: now!!!

I understand this room has a steamer trunk...is that in addition to a closet? How does that work. Also, how is the bed config then...will the girls be in the "bunk" (one being the overhead pull down) or will they convert the sofa to a sofa bed?

IS there anyway we can start a "teens group" or something thread for this cruise? My Daughter (16) really would like to get to meet fellow cruisers before we leave. I might be able to do this myself but am new to this stuff and lack time.

thx
Josh

Hi everyone!

Ok, the FE is offically closed!! I have update the spreadsheet so please take a look. OZ family, I will be sending you the link to the spreadsheet today:lovestruc. All we will be waiting for is some room numbers. I can't wait:banana:

Thanks,

Alisha

What was the decision if we happen to get/buy an upgrade at port?

Could we update at the meet & greet?

What do we do for those without room numbers?

Just checked and we got room 2108 on deck 2.

Does anyone know if this room is mid ship or close to engine room?

Hi Alisha,

Please update our room # to 2108.

Thanks for the spredsheet. Do we get assigned to another family for the gifts exchange, or do we give gifts to every family on the list, or randomly choose families?

Thanks!

Ok, got it!! No assignment you will exchange with all families and you pick when.

I would say yes you could update the group at the meet and greet but I am not sure if all will attend (or make it). I know that on our last cruise a lot of peeps did not make it to the meet (they were consumed by vacation on the mind:love:).

Does everyone in the FE exchange has access to email/disboard by phone? If we have any changes I can upload them on to google when we are on board.

We had this on my previous cruise and the coordinator just had the updated list posted on their door day 2 so we could update our list. THat way every just had to stop by that room anytime and since they were delivering it was no biggie. Just and FYI.

Hi would you mind to share which excursion you booked for PV?

Thanks.

I booked the Pirate Ship Marigalante (We've been on it before- wonderful!!!), but apparently DCL is fond of it, too, and bought out the whole ship. So they bumped me over to the Jolly Roger, which is the same package/show/meal/private island, just not booked with DCL.

This is a great idea!!

Thanks. I booked the pirate tour with DCL, so I guess it is the same thing.

Since you have been on it, would it be fun for a three years old also?

In terms of Cabo, I booked the dolphin swim for the fisrt day, but don't have an idea yet for the second day. Any suggestions?
