Mexican restaraunt with green sauce??

Wondering if those who eat offsite in Orlando if you have been to a Mexican restaurant that serves green sauce like you find in Houston. Similar to Ninfas? It's one of the top 3 things I miss about Texas!!

Not sure if they have the kind of sauce you are looking for, but Chuys has lots of different sauces.

Agree that Chuy's has some good sauces. Really liked their Hatch Chili green sauce. Looked up Ninfa's online, and it strikes me as a one-of restaurant where that green sauce is probably an old family recipe. Doubt you'll find exactly that anywhere else except in abuela's own kitchen in Mexico...

We actually have Chuys here at home, sadly for me it's not the same. Actually several restaurants both chain and mom and pop serve the infamous green sauce so it's not necessarily a family recipe, but it is regional. It was worth a try!

Is it a green tomatillo salsa? If so, it's pretty easy to make: tomatillos, serrano chiles, garlic, salt and onions. You can boil the ingredients and then blend in a blender, or you can toast them on a griddle, peel the black / toasty parts off, blend in a blender and enjoy.

It's similar, but creamy. It's so amazing! There is a recipe online for it. I was hoping for restaurant quality instead of my kitchen quality lol.

I checked with DH's aunt who is an amazing cook. She said to sautee / cook the ingredients (tomatillos, peppers, onions) in olive oil before blending and that will provide a creamy consistency.
