Morning everyone. I'm sitting here melting in my office (it's a balmy 92 )! Hopefully my new A/C will show up soon.

Add that to a shattered windshield (courtesy of a wayward golf ball) and a busted headlight, and I'm hoping I've satisified the "things break in 3s" curse for this weekend!

Can't stick around long - trying to surf the net while sticking to my desk & keyboard is not making for a pleasant day. Working at this point is questionable at best.

OH - can't forget to say Welcome Bethany! I'll be on the lookout for that shiny new Fit on the I-10 on my way home.

Off in search of cooler, less humid air... ... ...

Good morning. Thanks to all of you for the prayers. I felt really good yesterday and it was the first day since the procedure that I got out of the house. We went to mass, then lunch, then saw the movie "The Proposal".

I know the uterine ablasion was minimal, but I just wasn't feeling up to doing anything the first two days. My doctor told me that I could back to doing activities like excercising, swimming, etc. the next day if I felt up to it. I still really don't feel up to it, and I guess that's okay for now. I'm just glad its over. My husband has been very helpful through this.

Kat, I am worried about you. How are you feeling today?

Thanks for all the good thoughts my friends. I'm doing a bit better today, good thing, as I have to go to work tomorrow. My employee will be attending a funeral. Johnny managed to get all the grilling done yesterday so we have plenty of food. I am now holding down some food finally, sorry if TMI, lost 6 lbs.

Doesn't look like I'll be attending the bbq meet next weekend. Everything I had planned to do this weekend at Mom & Dad's house got put off to next weekend, trying to get it rentable. My guys find it amusing to continue to celebrate my birthday long after I stopped counting so they have dinner planned for next weekend somewhere.

Bethany - I love Beignet!!! Hope you get your truck unloaded, it's raining here already.

Today I went to the bank, to the courthouse to file papers for my refi ($47!!!!) back to the bank, tried to get a braketag, but place was closed, walgreens ($150!!!), tried to get a braketag, but this place was closed too, to my grandmas to set up her new printer/scanner and teach her to use it and fixed her voicemail, finally found a brake tag place that was open and now I'm home. PHEW. I'm wiped. Now I have to send Tony to Winn Dixie. I'm not setting foot out the house again. I apologize ya'll. The rain was my fault. Everytime I stepped outside a building today I triggered it to start pelting. I am SOGGY.

We're in Destin right now, so I'm not on too much. The Emerald Grande is gorgeous. It rained today, so we put off our evening cruise on the Mercury until tomorrow night. It was used in a John Wayne movie in the 40s. My husband is an antique boat nut, so he's over the moon. I plan to paint ceramics and go fabric shopping when they go jet skiing and to the beach.

We were in Destin last month, and loved the Emerald Grande area. I especially liked the perfume/soap store on the second level and had the best chocolate pie I've ever had at the Camellia Grill at Emerald Grande. Ya'll have a great vacation! The evening cruise sounds wonderful.

We ate at the Camellia Grill for dinner. The hamburgers were very good. My husband had the coconut creme pie and I had the banana creme. Both were delicious.

So the drive up to BR was um, interesting. I got my first NOLA rain storm and what luck...I was out driving in it. I wanted to play armadillo and curl up into a ball and wait. However, judging from how effective that is for them I decided to just keep driving....

I belong to hardcoreweather.com. It's a great site with tons of good info during hurricane season. The guy who runs it asked for us to join FB so that a gov't worker with the National Hurricane Center would have enough members to get the domain for FB. The group is AF Reserve Hurricane Hunters if anyone else wants to join.

Some of the guys at hardcore are meteorologists, so you get the info before the networks broadcast it. It helps in planning. Now there are some who are "wishcasters" which means they like the excitement of hurricanes and love when they come our way. I ignore these people but there are not many of them.

Glad you made it ok through the storm. Those can be really frightening.

Good Morning NOLA.

Today is Senior Picture day. Kelsie gets to smile pretty while I go broke in the process.

I don't have a Face Book. I feel like I hardly have time to catch up here so if I got one of those it would probably just sit there unused.

We got some really nasty showers yesterday. Lots of thunder and lightening. I saw on the news last night that Mandeville got over 1 1/2 inches. I guess we really need it and it's already raining again here this morning.

I was hurting a lot yesterday, and I decided to call my doctor. It turns out I have a bladder infection. I've never had one of these in my life, I thought I was hurting because of the procedure. He phoned in some antibiotics, and I'm feeling a lot better this morning.

I am so MAD! The dr's office totally screwed up my pre-op appts today. They told me 11:00 but apparently had me down for 9:00, now she's full all day & they have to figure it out. I cancelled my hair appt I misscheduled for 11:00, so that's been filled too! So I'm still waiting to find out when the dr appt will be & my hair dresser is trying to fit me in sometime. Wanna bet they both end up calling about the same time & day! Arggggh!
